other/the other/others/another/one another/each other辨析

△other作形容词时,后跟复数名词,other 复数名词=others.

*other后也可跟单数名词,用于一些固定词组中,如:some other day,any other student,every other day, no other boy。

△the other指两者中的另一个,常和one呼应着用。可作代词,或形容词。the other 复数名词=the others,指一个范围中余下的全部。

* the other day习语,意为"前几天"。

△another 三者以上中的另一个,后跟单数可数名词, another 数词表示 "又,再"。如:another ten minutes.

△one another表示三者或以上中的互相,each other两者之间的互相.但在现代英语中已通用。
