听力原文Text 1

W: Tony must be over 20 now.

M: Yes, when I first met him ten years ago, he was already fifteen.

Text 2

W: Oh, no. I’m dying for a drink. We have been out for two hours.

M: Let’s go to the snack bar across the street and get something to drink.

Text 3

M: Look! The printer is broken. I told you it wasn’t working.

W: Of course it won’t work! See, the ink box has been used up. You have to change it.

Text 4

M: I just heard on the radio that a storm is coming.

W: Well, our boat is going about 25 miles per hour. Normally, we go about 20.

M: Maybe we should head back. I don’t want to get caught in the storm.

W: Good idea. I can go five miles per hour faster at most.

Text 5

M: I don’t know where to take my aunt to dinner this weekend.

W: Have you ever been to the Italian restaurant by the river? You can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the whole city while you enjoy your meal.

Text 6

M: Hi, Anna, come in.

W: Wow, your apartment is a mess.

M: I know. I didn’t have time to put things away before you got here.

W: Anyway, are you ready to go?

M: No, I’m not ready yet. I still have to brush my teeth and wash my face. Can you wait for a few minutes?

W: OK, but please hurry. I think the restaurant is closing soon.

Text7

W: John, you look pale. What happened?

M: I stayed up last night.

W: Did you have something on your mind? You look so concerned! Maybe I can help you!

M: Well, I’m under a lot of pressure. My manager is very pushy. He assigned me two projects. Now the deadlines are near but I have finished neither of them.

W: Is there anything I can do for you?

M: Well, I guess no one can help me but myself. For the moment, I just need someone to talk to so that I can relieve my stress.

W: I know your feeling. Take it easy and say something to me if you like.

M: Oh, you are so kind. Thank you!

W: Not at all!

Text 8

W: Good afternoon. Can I help you?

M: Good afternoon. My name is Dupont. I’m in Room 1206. I’d like to order two sandwiches and a large pot of coffee. And would you please bring them to my room as soon as possible?

W: Yes, sir, no problem.

M: Wait a minute. You can forget the sugar and the cream.Just plain coffee will do. And please make it very strong.

W: OK, no sugar, no cream, straight coffee and very black. I’ll bring them to you right away.

W: Room service. May I come in?

M: Come in. Just put them on the table over there.

W: All right. Here are your sandwiches and your coffee. The sandwiches are $6 each and the coffee is $3. And here is your bill.

M: Thank you. Can I have it charged to my account, please?

W: Of course. Just sign here. Enjoy your meal.

Text 9

W: How do you like War Craft II?

M: It’s a great game. There are a lot of new characters.

W: Did it cost very much?

M: It cost about thirty. Most games cost about that much.

W: My roommate always wants to play it. But I told her to buy her own game.

M: Yeah, my roommate likes to watch me play. He says it’s like watching a movie.

W:I’ve never seen such good pictures.

M: And I’ve never heard such good sound in a game.

Text 10

M: Grandma Moses is among the most well-known 20th-century painters of the United States, yet she had hardly started painting before she was in her late seventies. She was born on a farm in New York, one of five boys and five girls. At 12, she left home and worked as a housekeeper until she married Thomas Moses at 27. They farmed most of their lives, first in Virginia and then in New York. Grandma Moses began to paint using oils in her old age because she wanted to keep busy and pass the time. Her pictures were first sold at the local drugstore and at a market, and were soon noticed by a businessman who bought everything she painted. Three of those pictures were exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art, and in 1940, she had her first exhibition in New York. Between the 1930s and her death, she produced some 1,600 pictures.
