在晚上用介词on还是in（到底是onthemorning还是in）

说到on the morning还是in the morning？很多中学生第一反应就是：in the morning，你问他们为了填“in”,而不是“on”，他们会告诉你，老师就是这样教的，固定搭配。Excellent！这个答案是准确的，我们来看几个句子：

He often reads English in the morning．他经常在早上读英语。

Xiao Hua gets up early in the morning. 小华早上起的早。

但是别忘记了，除了in the morning表示“在早上”，表示“在中午”、“在晚上”（afternoon／evening），也是用“in”的，即是“in the afternoon”“in the evening”例如：

Jack will go to the teachers' office in the afternoon tomorrow .

杰克明天下午要去老师的办公室

Helen studies very hard in the evening .

海伦每天晚上都很认真地学习。

当有一天我们遇到了这个句子时：

We went swimming on the morning of May 1st.

我们5月1日的早上去游泳。

in 表示的一般的意义（in的本义是包含在一段时间内，未指明那一天），on 表示的是一种更具体的时间 （on的本义是接触，就在那一瞬间发生）
