一、according to的常见用法

1.according to表示“据(……所说); 按(……所报道)”；例如：

• According to a survey published by an American university, the ten fastest growing jobs will be related to computers and health. 根据美国一所大学发布的调查，(需求)增长最快的十种职业将与计算机和医疗有关。

• According to Wilson, he benefits just as much from the experience. 根据威尔逊的说法，他从这段经历中获益良多。

2.according to表示“依照; 按照; 根据”；例如：

• Learn to make study plans according to your needs. 学会按照自己的需要制订学习计划。

• They can change according to circumstances. 它们会根据情况的变化而改变。

二、ahead of的常见用法

1.ahead of表示“(时间、空间)在……前面”；例如：

• Exercising makes you more awake and ready to handle whatever is ahead of you for the day. 锻炼会使你更加清醒，并让你为应对一天中摆在你面前的一切事务做好准备。

• Two boys were ahead of us. 有两个男孩在我们前面。

2.ahead of表示“早于”；例如：

• Why don't you drop in tonight ahead of your meeting? 你为何不在今晚开会前顺道过来看看?

• I finished several days ahead of the deadline. 我是在最后期限的前几天完成的。

3.ahead of表示“领先”；例如：

• We need it in this edition to be ahead of the other newspapers. 为了领先于其他报纸，我们需要在这一版就刊登它。

• Damaged but not defeated, he was still ahead of me.他虽受伤但并未被打败，依然领先于我。
