2. about 表示“关于”时，表示一般性和通俗性。.

They are talking about the film they saw last night.

他们在谈论他们昨晚看过的电影。

3. about 表示”到处，在周围，在附近“，相当around。

There are books about the room.满屋子都是书。

There used to be many stores about our school.我们学校周围过去到处有商店。

I’d like to travel about the world.我想周游世界。

The mice ran away about the house when hearing a cat coming.

老鼠们一听见猫到来就向屋子的四周奔逃。

4.表示“在身边，在身上，在手头”。
