when引导时间状语从句的特点（不作疑问词的时候）

（1）when的用法

①在大家熟知的领域是when当疑问词使用。

When did you know about Webi closing his training course? 你是什么时候知道韦博关闭其培训班的事情的？

②在今天的要学的句子中，when做第二种用法。引导时间状语从句。

这里提到的时间，大家不要先入为主的认为就是8点啊，9点这样的时间。而是指当某个事件发生的那一刻，这样的时间节点。

The students panicked when they learned that Webi had closed his training course. 当学生们知道韦博关闭其培训班时都很慌。

③when还可以引导定语从句

May is the month when we are most busy. 5月是我们最忙的一个月。

（2）同位语从句的用法

When reports came into London Zoo that a wild puma had been spotted forty-five miles south of London……

在这个句子中，that从句为同位语从句的用法，作report的同位语，用来进一步说明报告的内容。

两样可以使用同位语的用法，比如可以使用逗号的方式。

He is there, near the window. 他在那边，在窗户附近。

使用冒号的方式：

We will visit two cities: Beijing and Shanghai. 我们将去两个城市：北京和上海。

也可以使用or的形式，such as，of等。

（3）take seriously 认真对待

they were not taken seriously中，they在这里代表前面提到的reports,有些同学会认为they只能表示他们/她们，其实还能表示它们。这也就不难理解能代表reports了。

I believe you will take seriously my advice into account.我想您会认真考虑我的建议的。
