表示时间或空间上远近关系的代词叫指示代词。

二．含义

this这; 指离说话人近的单数的人或物。

that那；指离说话人远的单数的人或物。

these这些；指离说话人近的复数人或物。

those那些；指离说话人远的复数的人或物。

指示代词在句中都可以用the来替代。

三．用法

1. 作主语

This is my pen,that’s yours.

2. 作表语

What I want is that.

3. 作宾语

You take this,I take that.

4. 作介词宾语

Don’t think too much of that.

5. 作定语

This pen is mine.

Those books are hers.

四．特殊用法

1. 为了避免重复，用that,those代替前面提到过的名词，但this,these不可这样用。

2. this和that作状语，表程度，相当于too或so。
