"A people's city serves its people." In recent years, Zhengzhou City has deeply practiced the new idea of development and the people-centered thinking. By accelerating the high-quality urban construction management, and coordinating the renewal of the old city, the development of the new city, and the rural revitalization, it has shaped a new urban pattern featuring "strong economic competitiveness in the east, convenient traffic in the south, beautiful scenery in the west, peaceful academic atmosphere in the north, enhanced urban function in the central part, and good connectivity of the whole urban area". The multi-centered, clustered and intensive urban development which improves production, people's livelihood and ecosystem will make the city more beautiful and its people happier.

“人民城市为人民。”近年来，郑州市深入践行新发展理念和以人民为中心的发展思想，高品质推进城市建设管理，统筹老城更新、新城开发和乡村振兴，突出“东强、西美、南动、北静、中优、外联”的城市发展格局，走多中心、组团式、集约化、生产生活生态“三生”融合的城市发展路子，让城市更美、群众生活更幸福。

Convenient transportation boosts happiness. The metro construction in Zhengzhou is in full swing. Metro Line 3 Phase 1 and Metro Line 4 were opened at the end of 2020; together with existing Metro Lines 1 and 2, Suburban Line, Line 5 and Line 14, the operating mileage reached 206 kilometers by the end of 2020. The beltway goes toll-free, and any expressway within the city area is accessible within 15 minutes. With the reconstruction of "one ring, ten transverse and ten longitudinal roads", the urban traffic microcirculation system and slow traffic system are being perfected to create a clean, orderly, comfortable and pleasant urban road space step by step.

便捷交通支撑幸福。“轨道上的郑州”全面铺开，地铁3号线一期、4号线2020年年底开通，加上已运营的1号线、2号线、城郊线、5号线、14号线，2020年内总运营里程将达206公里。绕城高速开启“免费时代”，市域内15分钟上高速。“一环十横十纵”道路综合改造完善着城市交通微循环体系和慢行系统，逐步营造出整洁有序、舒适愉悦的城市道路空间。

Public services ensure sustained happiness. Zhengzhou has been consistently putting more than 80% of the financial resources to people's livelihood improvement by completing infrastructures and offering better services. Within 15 minutes, citizens in any part of the city can access educational resources, life facilities, and medical services. The schools provide lunch and after-school caring services, and the elderly can enjoy a comfortable later life in the community. In addition, 1,833 old communities in the main urban area have been renovated by category and level, benefiting 300,000 residents.

公共服务承载幸福。坚持把80%以上的财力用于改善民生，完善配套设施、健全服务。“15分钟”为半径的家门口学校，“15分钟便民服务圈”“15分钟健康服务圈”……孩子们在学校里有午餐和课后延时服务，老人在家门口乐享“品质晚年”。分类别、分层次改造主城区1833个老旧小区，惠及30万居民。

Digital governance improves efficiency to amplify happiness. A total of 531 government service items can be completed on "Zheng Hao Ban" APP, such as withdrawing housing provident fund, receiving deed tax subsidies, and completing school enrollment and intelligent parking procedures. The "City Brain" campaign empowers a "Smart Zhengzhou".

数字治理提速幸福。秒速提公积金、领取契税补贴、孩子入学报名、智能停车……动动手指尖，诸事“郑好办”。“郑好办”APP已上线政务服务及便民服务事项531项。“城市大脑”赋能“聪明郑州”。

Ecological civilization enhances happiness. The color green has become the dominant color of Zhengzhou for development. In 2020, Zhengzhou was named a "National Ecological Garden City", the first among provincial capitals or above to the north of the Yangtze River in China. Also, it has built another 1,129 parks, with a total green area of 195 million square meters and ecological corridors of nearly 4,000 kilometers, creating a cozy space for its citizens to enjoy a "slow life". Overall, it has basically formed an ecosystem where the city, forests, gardens, waters, and roads are reasonably designed. The beach parks and slow traffic system along the Yellow River have been built under high standards, accelerating the upgrade of Zhengzhou into a "Green Capital".

生态文明增色幸福。绿色已成为郑州的城市底色和发展主色。2020年郑州荣膺“国家生态园林城市”，成为长江以北地区首个获此殊荣的省会及以上城市。建成公园1129处，绿化总面积1.95亿平方米，近4000公里的生态廊道编织出市民惬意“慢生活”，基本形成了“城在林中、园在城中、林水相依、林路相随”的生态格局。高标准建设黄河滩地公园及沿黄慢行系统等，加速推动“绿城”向“绿都”跨越。

Fine management consolidates happiness. Respecting details and needs of the people, Zhengzhou has vigorously carried forward the "craftsmanship spirit" to create a quality city environment with a high-efficiency urban traffic system through cleaning, lighting and greening projects. With carefulness, patience and ingenuity, Zhengzhou is becoming more beautiful and attractive.

精细管理夯实幸福。从细微之处入手，从群众所需出发，郑州狠下“绣花功夫”，弘扬“工匠精神”，以“序化”保畅通，以“洁化”促提质，以“亮化”增颜值，以“绿化”美环境，用细心、耐心、巧心“绣”出城市高品质。

Cultural development fosters happiness. Tell the "Yellow River Story" well. Zhengzhou is making every effort to build into the main landmark of the Yellow River Culture as "the root of the Chinese nation, the soul of the Yellow River, and the origin of Chinese civilization in the Center of Heaven and Earth". The Zhengzhou Grand Theatre and the new Zhengzhou Art Museum have been opened and received a mass of visitors. Cultural projects like Dahe Village National Archeological Park, the Yellow River National Museum, Shang Dynasty City Ruins, Guying Grand Canal, Centennial Dehua Pedestrian Street, Ersha Cultural and Creative Park are under construction as planned, carrying forward the historical and cultural legacy of Zhengzhou.

文化发展涵养幸福。讲好“黄河故事”，郑州全力建设“华夏之根、黄河之魂、天地之中、文明之源”国家黄河历史文化主地标城市，为国家中心城市培“根”铸“魂”。郑州大剧院、郑州美术馆新馆开放后参观者络绎不绝；大河村国家考古遗址公园、黄河国家博物馆、商代王城、古荥大运河、百年德化、二砂文创园等文化项目建设如火如荼，在创新中传承郑州的历史文脉。

Zhengzhou is doing the best of its ability to make its people enjoy a happy and quality life.

干好干实一件件让群众“咧嘴笑”的事，郑州让发展更有温度、幸福更有质感。
