牛津树需要背诵(如何辅导孩子精读牛津树)
上一篇文章里我们以《Bush Fire!》为例,中英文结合解析了如何辅导孩子在家精读牛津阅读树,接下来,我们开始精读牛津阅读树里的另一篇文章——In the Garden。

故事的title是什么?
author是谁?
根据封面猜想故事是关于什么的呢?What do you see in the picture? What do you think the story will be about?
封面图里小草长得比人高,为什么呢?我们平时看到的公园也是这样的吗?What do you often see in a garden? Is there tall grass? Are there big flowers?

sandpit (definition:an area in the ground or a shallow container, filled with sand for children to play in)
当孩子知道sandpit是什么后,可以通过结合生活来让他深入理解sandpit。问题示例:Have you ever played in a sandpit? What was it like?
阅读理解:
1. Kipper发现了什么?What did Kipper find in Chip’s room)(答案示例:Kipper found a magic key)
2. 为什么要寻求帮助?Why did Kipper call for help?(答案示例:because the key began to glow )
3. 钥匙发光时发生了什么?What happened when the key glows? (答案示例:when the key glows, it takes the children on a magic adventure)

看图识别什么是bumble-bee
阅读理解:
1. 为什么孩子们觉得草像jungle?why did the children think the grass looked like a jungle?(答案示例:because the children were very small and the grass were very big)
2. 锻炼孩子在文章中找答案的能力,比如根据“Chip saw a bumble-bee. He didn’t like it and he didn’t like the jungle”这句可以提问What did Chip see and how did he feel about it?
3. 结合生活提问,让孩子展开联想,任何答案都可以~可以是excited,也可以是scared,问题示例:If you were one of the children, how would you feel about being in a jungle?

识别desert是什么
阅读理解:
1. Where were the children? How did they get there?(答案示例:they were in the sandpit, but because they were so tiny, it seemed like a mountain; They climbed to the top of the mountain)
2. Why did Kipper say “Oh no” when Biff suggested they go down? (答案示例:Because he thought Kipper had to walk down the mountain, and he was so tired from climbing the mountain.)

阅读理解:
1. How did the children go down to the desert? (They road down in the toy car)
2. How would you feel if you were in the toy car?(开放性问题,可以让孩子充分发挥想象力自由回答,I think I would be ……)

理解单词pushed和paw
阅读理解:
1. why did the children climb inside the bottle?(答案示例:because there was a giant cat)
2. what did the children do to drive away the cat?(答案示例:the children shouted at the cat, then Floppy came and chased away the cat)
3. 开放性问题,启发孩子思考,问题示例:what will you do if you meet a wild animal?

阅读理解:
1. can you tell me some of the good things that happen to the children?(答案示例:some of the children enjoyed riding in the car, eating the strawberry was a good thing等等)
2. 可以询问故事主人公前后的变换,比如how did Kipper feel about the adventure in the beginning?(答案示例:he didn't like it) what about the end of the story, did he like it?
3. 与生活联系起来提问, 让孩子发挥想象力what would you do if you were in a garden and suddenly became very small?
第21~24页
阅读理解:
1. why did the children hide under the flowerpot?(答案示例:because it was raining)
2. do you think the heavy rain was real?(答案示例:it wasn't real rain, I think dad was watering the plant and because the children were so small, it seemed like rain)
3. where can you hide if you were caught in a heavy rain?(开放性问题)
4. what happened when the key glowed again? (答案示例:when the key glowed again, it was the end of the adventure, and the children became big again)
5. what is a slug do you know?让孩子知道什么是slug,why did dad think there were giant slugs in the garden?(答案示例:because something had bitten the strawberry)
6. 开放性问题,问题示例:how do you protect yourself from danger?( the dangerous can be: wild animals, fire, car, wilderness, forest, mountain, ocean,people, hurricane, flood, earthquake and so on)
最后,别忘了锻炼孩子的复述故事能力哦,可以尝试根据主人公所处环境的变换作为主线来复述,in the jungle ——on the mountain——in the desert——in the strawberry filed,通过描述主人公们在不同场景里发生了什么,做了什么,将整个故事串联起来。
