话题:等待特殊事情

题目：

Describe a time when you waited for something special that would happen

You should say:

What you waited for

Where you waited

Why it was special

And explain how you felt while you were waiting

1. 思路梳理

问题的重点有两个：wait以及special。描述的事情需要包括：在等什么（事件）、在哪里等（地点）、为什么特别（原因）以及等待时候的感觉（感受）。

首先描述的事件要有wait的过程，其次也不能是normal的事件，必须要至少有一点特别。不过“特别”对于每个人来说都可以有自己的理解，所以只要能体现到对你自己“特别”就可以了，包括第三个引导问题也提到了why it was special，这里能解释通即可。

所以整个题目最重要的就是等待，那么可以从我们的语料库中挑出一些包含等待的事件，这里就可以串到之前我们准备过的话题上了，例如：

1. 旅游：旅游的时候经常要等待某些项目或活动，如果这个项目或活动也是对你而言special的，可以拿来用；
2. 喜欢的歌手或演员：当你去看他/她的演唱会或电影的时候通常需要等，同时需要体现special的点，例如第一次去看他/她或者在你的生日当天去看等等。

Well, this topic reminds me of my trip to Northern Europe with my best friends several years ago. During the trip, one of my friend, Jing , has an yearning for aurora, so we decided to wait for it in a small town in Iceland no matter how long it would took us.

I think it was special to me because I never got to see it before, not to mention seeing it with my best friends. In fact, most people do not have the chance for a lifetime and I would probably cannot have a second chance either. So in conclusion, we decided to spare no effort to take the chance.

There were three nights in a row, as I remembered, until we finally made it on the last night. It was so cold in Iceland in January and I began to wonder why we were so enchanted to aurora during the first two nights. Fortunately, we finally got to see it at nearly 3 a.m. on the third night.

Standing in wilderness and looking into the sky, the aurora was so breathe-taking beautiful and so compelling that we even forgot how frozen we were. Everything else has gone and there were just me, my friends and aurora. We made so many quixotic wishes which never came true during the next several years, but this shared experience warms me every time I think of it.
