关键词作文

关键词作文是大学英语四级考试大纲所规定的一种考试题型，其形式为出题者给出作文题目，同时也给出若干个关键词和短语，要求我们根据题目和关键词语的提示，写出充分表达主题思想的作文，并且必须把这些关键词语包括或容纳到文章中。当然，题目对关键词的提供可按作文本身的内容顺序；也可按字母顺序；还可按词类顺序。如下面的第一个范例就是按作文本身的内容顺序提供关键词的：

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a

composition about My Hometown. You are required

to write no less than 120 words, and you can make use of the following key words and expressions:

beautiful, green hills, trees and flowers, in the old days, poor, dirty, change, rich, happy, love

My Hometown

My hometown is a beautiful place. It stands near a wide river

at the foot of low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees and flowers everywhere.

But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a poor, dirty little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.

Since liberation, everything has changed. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and apartment buildings. They have an assembly hall and a hospital. Along the river they have built offices, hotels and parks. A lot of factories have sprung up. On the river, steamers and boats come and go busily, day and night. They carry the products of our industries to all parts of the country. The people are living a happy life.

I love my hometown, and I love its people. They too have changed: Healthy and happy, they are giving all out to build socialism.

我们再看一个按词类顺序提供关键词的例子：

Foreign Investment

With the development of the reform and opening, more and more foreign capitals have been pouring into China. To a developing country which lacks large amounts of money, it is true that foreign investment has greatly promoted the economy development of China. At the same time, we have learned much more advanced technology and management methods. With these, China has been achieving great success inside and outside the country.

However, foreign investment has really brought some disadvantages to China. First, many outstanding intellectuals have been jumping from the state-own factories or companies to the foreign enterprises, which causes the loss of the able persons. Second, our tradition and culture are being gradually affected by the western view of value and tradition. For example, some young man or children like Christmas Day more than Spring Festival. It’s a common phenomenon now.

In spite of these, we should welcome the foreign investment on one hand, and on the other hand, we should do something to overcome the negative effects.

当然，关键词的提供也可以字母顺序。在此，为了节约篇幅就不再举例说明了。
