一、用“音形义”都是英语的阅读下文

As no pumas had been reported missing from any zoo in the country, this one must have been in the possession of a private collector and somehow managed to escape. The hunt went on for several weeks, but the puma was not caught.

It is disturbing to think that a dangerous wild animal is still at large in the quiet countryside.

二、把英语“读”成英语

1) As no pumas had been reported missing from any zoo in the country

1.Because no zoos in the country had said they had lost a puma,or they had a puma at large.

2.If someone or something is missing,we lose them,we can't find them anywhere.They're nowhere to be found.

能借助“英语阅读”把这句英语“用一用”，“想一想”才是最好的英语阅读。英译汉式阅读是无法发挥这个作用的。这也是为什么反对“英译汉”式“英语阅读”的最大原因：英语学而不用。

1.If you are in possession of something,you own it,it belongs to you.

2.A private collector is an individual owner,diffetent from a public zoo.

3.If you do something and manage to do it,you make it,you succeed in doing it.

4.If you try to do something,you may do it but may not make it,you may fail

So somehow managed to escape means it succeeded in running away.

3) The hunt went on for several weeks,

The search lasted for a few weeks,continued for some weeks.

都能用英语理解到这样的程度，借助中文理解就没必要了。

4) but the puma was not caught(captured).
