狮子和野猪（Lions and boars）

夏季，炎热的酷暑使人很口渴，狮子和野猪一起来到小泉边喝水。他们为谁先喝，彼此争斗得你死我活。当他们喘气时，忽然回过头去，看见有几只秃鹰正在等候，他们知道谁倒下去谁就会被吃掉。因此他们停止了争斗，并说：“我们还是成为朋友吧，总比被秃鹰和大鸦吃掉好得多。”

寓意：人们不要相互进行无聊的争斗，否则，会给自己招来灾难。

狮子发现兔子正在睡觉，便想趁机吃掉它。这时，狮子又看见有只鹿走过，便丢下兔子去追赶鹿。兔子听到声响，马上跳起来逃跑了。狮子使劲追鹿，仍没有追到，于是又回头来找兔子，却发现兔子早已逃之夭夭。狮子说：“我真活该！丢掉已到手的食物，却贪心去追求那更大的希望。”

寓意：有些人不满足手中的小利，去追求更大的希望。结果，不但不知不觉地把手中的小利丢掉了，更大的希望也没追到，只留得两手空空。
