安赫尔瀑布（Angel Falls），位于委内瑞拉玻利瓦尔州，从奥扬特普伊山（Auyan-tepui）的陡壁直泻而下。落差979米，为世界上落差第一大的瀑布。由于瀑布被密林遮掩，所以大多时间只能从空中观赏为佳。

1937年，美国飞行员安赫尔（James Crawford Angel）在空中对瀑布进行考察时发现瀑布，后因意外迫降在奥扬特普伊山山顶，在没有补给的情况下，安赫尔与妻子徒步11天到达最近的村镇，被落后的当地人奉为奇迹。也正因此，该瀑布被命名为安赫尔瀑布。

In 1937, American pilot James Crawford Angel discovered the waterfall while inspecting it in the air. Later, he made a forced landing on the top of Mount oyantepui due to an accident. Without supplies, angel and his wife walked 11 days to the nearest village and town, he was regarded as a miracle by the backward local people. Therefore, the waterfall is named anher waterfall.

英国作家柯南·道尔的科幻探险小说《失落的世界》中，描述了一个充满恐龙、人猿的史前平顶高原，很多人声称柯南·道尔的灵感来自于特普伊山的安赫尔瀑布。但简法不错查阅资料后发现《失落的世界》成书于1912年，而安赫尔发现瀑布却是在1937年。传奇作家柯南·道尔的灵感到底来自于何处，这个秘密已然已被他带入另一个世界。

安赫尔瀑布是一个多级瀑布。第一级由山顶直泻至一结晶岩平台，落差807米；接着又下跌172米，直至丘伦河谷地。

在安赫尔瀑布下游，有个叫做“卡奈马”的地方。这里有上百条小型瀑布，景色迷人。委内瑞拉政府在此以旅游业作为支撑，修建了一条能起落喷气客机的跑道。游客可以乘飞机参观瀑布区，也可以乘游艇逆河而上进行参观。沿途有遮天蔽日的原始古森林，山重水复疑无路之时，安赫尔瀑布便疑是银河落九天。凡是乘飞机观赏瀑布的游客，都可以得到一张特制的“勇敢的探险者”证书。

2009年12月22日，委内瑞拉总统乌戈·查韦斯宣称世界落差最大的瀑布，应以本土名字Kerepakupai Meru命名。乌戈·查韦斯说道：早在美国人安赫尔“发现”瀑布以前，数以千计的人就曾看到过瀑布。

On December 22, 2009, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez declared that the world's largest waterfall should be named after kerepakupai Meru. Hugo Chavez said: thousands of people had seen the waterfall before the American Angel "discovered" it.
