Lucy was a young woman who took great pride in the growth and care of the flowers in her flower garden. She had been raised by her grandmother, who taught her to love and care for flowers as she herself had done. So, like her grandmother, her flower garden was second to none.

露西是个年轻的女士，她对自己花园里的花的生长和照料感到非常自豪。她是由祖母抚养长大的，祖母教导她要像她自己一样爱和照料花。所以，像她的祖母一样，她的花园是首屈一指的。

One day while looking through a flower catalogue (目录) she often ordered from, a picture of a plant called Campsis grandiflora (凌霄花) i m m e d i a t e l y caught her eye. "I have to have it," Lucy said to herself, and she ordered it at once.

一天，当她在浏览她经常订购的花卉目录时，一种名为凌霄花的植物的图片立刻引起了她的注意。"我非买不可。"露西自言自语道，她马上订购了这种花卉。

When it arrived, she already had a place prepared to plant it. She planted it at the base of a stone wall at the back of her yard. It grew well, with beautiful green leaves all over it. Day after day she continued to cultivate it, water it, and she even talked to it.

One morning weeks later, as Lucy stood before the vine (藤蔓), she felt a little sad because her plant had no flowers. Lucy was giving thought to cutting it down and planting something else in its place.

It was at this point that her neighbor, whose garden joined hers, called over to her. "Thank you so much! You can't imagine how much I have enjoyed the flowers of that vine you planted.★" Lucy walked through the gate into her neighbor's yard. And sure enough, she saw that on the other side of the wall the vine of her plant was filled with flowers. The vine grew through the crevices (裂缝) of the wall and it had not flowered on her side.

邻居的花园跟她的花园挨着，就在这时，邻居向她喊道。"非常感谢！你无法想象我有多喜欢你种的那株藤蔓上的花。"露西穿过大门，来到邻居的院子里。果然，她看见墙的另一边，她种的藤蔓上开满了花。藤蔓从墙缝里爬了出来，却没有在她这边开过花。

When you cannot see the good result of your labor, it doesn't mean that it has no fruit.

imagine 后面是宾语从句；定语从句 you planted 修饰先行词vine，此处省略了关系代词that或which。
