1. adv. 几乎不 hardly=almost not

hardly ever 几乎从不=seldom

2. almost, nearly, hardly的区别

• almost与nearly均为“几乎/差不多”之意，多用于肯定句，但almost语气更强；almost构成否定时，多与no/nothing/nobody等连用；
• nearly常与not连用，但注意：not nearly远非/完全不;
• hardly表示否定含义，所在句子为否定句。

3. hard与hardly

• hard:1)用作形容词，意为“困难的”，同义词difficult，用于修饰名词。如：艰苦的工作 hard work2)作为副词，意为“努力地”，用于修饰形容词或实义动词。如：努力工作：work hard
• hardly:副词，使用时应位于实义动词之前，系动词之后。
