赖 和

二十年来原故我，惟将静坐送年华。

晴窗二月春风暖，默坐终天竹榻斜。

暂得心闲即觅句，非关懒读每思家。

欲开旧卷头生痛，步出庭前摘草花。

赖和（1894-1943），字懒云，台湾彰化人。被誉为台湾新文学之父。有《赖和诗文集》。

LAI He

(1894-1943), styled Clouds-as-Weather-Teller, a native of Zhanghua County, Taiwan. He was honored as the Father of New Literature in Taiwan. Lai authored A Poetry Anthology of Lai He. (刘秀莲译)

For twenty years, I remain what I am,

While sitting still my prime I while away.

The sunlit window greets an April breeze;

The creaky bamboo couch rests me all day.

At leisure now, I search for a verse line,

Not something about nostalgia at all.

Pained I feel as I would ope an old book;

To pick a flower I walk out of the hall.
