Narrator: Suzy Sheep has come to see Peppa. 小羊苏西来看望佩奇了。

Suzy: Err... I'm not a real nurse, it's just pretend. 嗯，我不是真的护士小姐。我只是在扮演。

Dr. Brown-Bear: I see. Would you like me to take a look myself? 我明白了。那你介意我亲自去看看她吗？

Suzy: Yes, please. 好的，请吧。

1. Covered in

猪爸爸给医生打电话，描述佩奇的症状时说Her face is covered in red spots. 她的脸上上长满了红点点。

Covered in是被…大面积覆盖的意思。spot是斑点的意思。

这个词组我们是第二次见了，上一次是在放风筝那集里，猪妈妈说No. I don’t want you covered in mud. 不行，我可不想你身上沾满泥巴。

2.Come straight round

狗医生在电话里说I’ll come straight round. 我马上到你家来。

Come round是英式英语，意思是到别人家里去拜访。

Straight 直接的，立即。

3.Catching

狗医生临走之前说The rash isn’t catching. 这皮疹不会传染的。

Rash是皮疹的意思。Catching有传染性的。

狗医生看到佩奇脸上的皮疹全部消失了，说Well, I never! A complete recovery. 太让人吃惊了，完全康复了。

Well, I never. 我们之前做过讲解，这个句子是Well, I never was so surprised!的简化形式，意思就是我从没这么吃惊过。

6. How are you today?

狗医生问佩奇How are you today? 你今天怎么样啊？

How are you？这个问题在我们读书的时候，学校里面教的标准回答是I’m fine. Thanks. And you? 但是如果医生这么问你，你也这么回答，那医生立刻就会请你出去，直接叫下一位病人了。

其实在生活中，外国人回答How are you?一般就是说Fine. Good. Great. Not much（老样子，就那样）. Not so good等等。

这里佩奇因为身体不适，所以回答是I am not very well. 我不是很好，我不太舒服。

7.Stick your tongue out

狗医生对佩奇说Stick your tongue out, please. 请把舌头伸出来。

Tongue[tʌŋ]是舌头的意思。 Stick out把…伸出来。

这个句子不仅仅是用于看医生，同时也在好多英文绘本里出现。比如把舌头伸出来舔一下冰淇淋等等。

爸妈: This is the ice cream for you. Stick your tongue out and lick it.

8.Open wide, please

狗医生继续说Open wide, please. 请把嘴巴张大。

这个句子非常实用，不仅是看医生的时候可以用，孩子吃饭的时候也可以用上。

9.表扬孩子吃药真乖

佩奇吃完药了，狗医生说You are a brave little one for taking it so well. 你乖乖的把药吃了，真是一个勇敢的孩子。

吃药的英文是take medicine哦，所以这里用的是take it. 这句话又可以作为孩子吃药时的范例记下来了。
