On the seaside, there lives a fisherman and his wife.

One day, the fisher man gets a goldfish when fishing on the sea. He is very happy. But to his surprise, the goldfish says to him: “ Please let me go. I will repay you !” On hearing this, the kind fisherman let the goldfish go back to the sea. The goldfish says: “Thank you grandpa. You are so kind, and whatever you want in the future, please tell me. “ But the fisherman doesn’t ask for anything, he just says goodbye to the fish and goes back home.

After he goes home, he tells his wife what happened today. His wife wants him to ask the goldfish for a new basin. After she has the new basin, she let the fisherman to ask for a new house. After she has the new house, she is still not satisfied.

She says to the fisherman: “ Let’s ask the goldfish for a castle.” After she has the castle, she still wants a big imperial palace. When she has the imperial palace, she is still not satisfied. She wants to be the overlord of the sea. The fisherman doesn’t want to ask for anything. But his wife forces him to go. He has no choices. So he comes to the sea and tell the goldfish what his wife wants. The goldfish doesn’t say anything, just turns around and swims back to the sea.

When the fisherman goes back home, he finds that everything he gets from the goldfish is gone.

在海边，住着一位渔夫和他的妻子。一天，渔夫在海上捕鱼的时候捕到了一条金鱼。他很高兴。但是令他惊奇的是，金鱼对他说：“请放我走吧！我会报答你的。” 听了金鱼的话，善良的渔夫就放金鱼回到了大海。金鱼说：“谢谢你，老爷爷。你太善良了，以后你想要什么就告诉我。” 渔夫没有要任何东西，只是对金鱼说了再见就回家了。

他回家后，把今天发生的事告诉了妻子。妻子就想让他问金鱼要一个新的盆。她有了新的盆以后，她又让渔夫向金鱼要了一座新房子。她有了新房子后，依然不满足。

她对渔夫说：“我们向金鱼要一座城堡吧！” 她有了城堡后，她还想要一座大的皇宫。当她有了皇宫，她还是不满足。她想成为海上的霸主。渔夫不想问金鱼要任何东西了。但是她的妻子逼着他去，他没有办法。于是，他来到大海，告诉金鱼她妻子想要的. 金鱼什么都没说，就转身游回了大海。

当渔夫回到家的时候，他发现他向金鱼要的所有东西都没有了。
