1.place

2.spot

上面的词使用比较广泛，而spot的使用就没有那么广泛了，一般指的是相对较小的特定地点或事物的所在地。

This is the spot where the two trucks collided.

I found her standing on this spot.

我发现她站在这个地方。

3.position

position所指的位置是相对的，一般是指相对于其他物体所处的位置或状态。而这个相对就是与前两者在使用时的区别，会更有准确性。

4.situation

site所指也是有点特定的，虽然对于大或小时没有限制，但所指的一般是专门用途或特定活动的地点，或者是某一事件的地址，所以在使用是会常用到on site，也就是现场的意思。

6.location

location使用也是比较广泛的，但是其相较于place的是其侧重的是指某物设置的方向或地点。

7.locality

locality也是指位置，但是其指的是某物所处的客观位置和周围环境，看起来与situation是不是有点像，但是locality所指的位置常常表示的是时间发生出的位置。

9.scene

scene常指真实事件或虚构故事发生的地点，像戏剧中某一场的地点，或小说中某一节的地点，而指真实的时候强调户内外某时某地发生的事件的场面及其给人的印象,这一场面不一定是令人愉快的或好看的。

The terrible scene was engraved on his memory.

那可怕的情景铭记在他的记忆里。

The first scene of the play is the king's palace.
