某天开动员大会的时候，领导突然非常大声地说了一句“We must go all out to fulfil the task.”

什么意思？“go out”是出去，“go all out”是我们都出去？难道领导的意思是叫我们都出去做自己的任务吗？

其实， “go all out”是这么解释的：

If you go all out to do something or go all out for something, you make the greatest possible effort to do it or get it.（柯林斯英语词典）

“go all out”就是说全力以赴的去做某件事情，等同于do one's best。
