①hear -heard-heard -hearing

The phrase “hear from” is equal to receive a letter from sb. and is also equal to get a letter from sb.

hear from

=receive a letter from sb.

=get a letter fromsb.

②Pay attention to the lette“ ei”，it has three basic pronunciation rules .
