英语be动词否定句习题（英语考试常见题）

英语中有很多动词可以表示否定，它们也是考试中常常被考的内容。常见的动词有：avoid（避免），deny（否定），cancel（取消)，pass（超过），fail（不能）， ignore（不顾），neglect（忽视），miss（错），refuse（拒绝），object（反对），oppose（反对），reject（拒绝），spoil（惯坏）。下面看看几个例子：

动词fail的意思是“失败，不及格”。比如：I got three passes and one fail.我考试三门及格，一门不及格。这个句子中没有否定词，但用动词fail表达出来否定的意思了。

动词miss是“错过，缺（勤）”的意思。比如：We’d better hurry or we’ll miss the train.我们最好快点，否则就赶不上火车了。Miss another class and you’ll fiail.你再缺一次课就会不及格了。

动词object的意思是“反对，拒绝”。比如：A lot of people will object to the book.很多人会反对这本书。really object to being charged for parking.我非常反对收停车费。Many local people object to the building of the new airport.许多当地的居民反对兴建新机场。

需要注意的是object一词后面要跟介词to，to后可以跟名词或者动名词。

我常见的一些短语动词也是可以表示含蓄否定的。比如： keep off（避开），keep from（阻止），protect from（保护……不受……，使免受），refrain from（克制）。比如：

She could hardly keep from laughing.她差一点儿笑了出来。Tears help to protect form potentially harmful foreign bodies.眼泪有助于保护眼睛去除可能有害的异物。
