强渡五天冲隘关，挥戈跃马战旗残。

损兵数万歌当哭，血水一江诗自寒。

秋雨秋风成绝响，忠肝忠胆照青峦。

惊涛拍岸湍流急，甩掉围追前路宽。

李群杰，河南太康人，现居北京。

著诗集《橄榄情》、《心泉流韵》，及散文集等，并参与编剧、导演多部电影；

现为中国作家协会会员等。

LI Qunjie, a native of Taikang County, Henan Province. Now the poet lives in Beijing. He authored essay collections as well as poetry anthologies such as Olive LoveandHeart Spring Flowing Rhyme. He also participated in writing and directing a number of films. Now Li serves as a member of Chinese Writers’ Association, etc.（韩上上译）

Battle by the Hsiang River

The sally breaks through the pass for five days;

Spear waved, flag tattered, loud my war steed neighs.

Songs choked, soldiers fall killed, a myriad strong;

Poems cold, a river of blood flows along.

Their swan song is the autumn rain and sough;

Their faith and morale greens the hills enow.

The waves break the banks to throw up a tide;

Shake off the siege, and now the road rolls wide.
