Postcards always spoil my holiday.Last summer,I went to Italy.I visited the museums and sat in public gardens. A friendly waiter taught me a few words of Italian.Then he lent me a book.I read a few lines,but I did not understand a word.Every day I thought about the postcards.My holiday passed quickly,but I did not send cards to my friends.On the last day I made a big decision.I got up early and bought thirty-seven cards.I spend the whole day in my room,but I did not write a single card!

明信片经常毁了我的假期。去年夏天，我去了意大利。我参观了博物馆，还去了公园。一位友好的服务员教了我几句意大利语，还借给我一本书。我读了几行，但一句也不懂。我每天都想着明信片的事。假期过得很快，但我还没有给我朋友寄明信片。到了最后一天，我做出了一项重大决定。我早早起了床，买了37张明信片。我在房间整整待了一天，但是我一张明信片都没有写出来！

语法点：一般过去式

概念：一般过去时(simple past tense)表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态；过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。

句法结构：

肯定形式：

主语 动词过去式 其它

例句：She came to help us in those days．

否定形态：

主语 didn't 谓语动词原形 其它

1.在行为动词前加didn't，同时还原行为动词

例句：I didn't know you like coffee.

一般疑问句：

①Did 主语 谓语动词原形 其它

②Was/Were 主语 表语

例句：Did you do homework?

特殊疑问句：

①特殊疑问词 did 主语 动词原形 其它？

②特殊疑问词 was/were 物主代词/...'s sth.？

被动语态：

主语 was / were 动词的过去分词

What happened 一般过去时

MAN:A dog ran across the road and the driver tried to avoid it.The car suddenly came towards me.It climbed on to the pavement and crashed into the post.

POLICEMAN:What did you do?

MAN:I ran across the street after the dog.

MAN:I wasn’t afraid of the car.I was afraid of the driver.The driver got out of the car and began shouting at me.He was very angry with me.You see,it was my dog.
