Mon and Dad went to the movies.

妈妈和爸爸去看电影了。

Gramps came over to stay with us.

爷爷过来陪着我们。

"Hi,Nate,"said Gramps.

“嗨, 内特,”爷爷对我说。

"I have lots of fun games for you and Grace."

“我为你和格雷斯准备了很多有趣的游戏。”

Gramps took out one of the games to play.

爷爷拿出其中一个游戏来给我们玩。

"Gramps,can we make popcorn?"I asked.

“爷爷，我们能做爆米花吗?”我问。

"Sure,"said Gramps.

“当然可以,”爷爷说。

"I love popcorn."

“我喜欢吃爆米花。”

"So do I,"said Grace.

“我也是。”格雷斯附和道。

Gramps got the popcorn.

爷爷拿出了玉米花。

Grace got the pot.

格蕾丝拿出了一个锅。

I got a bowl for the popcorn.

我拿了一个碗用来装爆米花。

Gramps put the pot on the stove.

爷爷把锅放在炉子上。

Then he put some oil and popcorn into the pot.

然后他在锅里放了一些油和玉米花。

"We love popcorn,"said Grace.

“我们爱吃爆米花，”格雷斯说到。

Gramps put some more popcorn in the pot.

爷爷又往锅里放了些玉米花。

I said,"We like lots and lots of popcorn!"

我说，“我们喜欢吃很多很多爆米花!”

Gramps put lots and lots of popcorn in the pot.

于是爷爷又往锅里放了很多玉米花。

Gramps put the lid on the pot.

爷爷把锅盖盖上。

Then we went back to play the game.

然后我们就回去接着玩游戏。

"I hear the popcorn popping,"said Grace.

“我听到爆爆米花的声音，”格雷斯说。

"When can we eat it?"

“我们什么时候能吃呀?”

"Will it be soon?"I asked.

“会很快吗?”我问。

"We can eat the popcorn when it stops popping,"Gramps said.

“当爆米花停止发成‘嘭嘭’的声音时，我们就可以吃了，”爷爷说。

We played some more.

我们又继续玩了一会儿。

"That popcorn is taking a long time,"I said.

“爆米花爆了很长时间了，”我说。

"The popcorn is still popping,"said Gramps.

“那个爆米花还在爆呢，”爷爷说。

"Let's go look at it."

“我们去看看吧。”

"Oh,no!"said Gramps.

“哦，天哪!”爷爷喊道。

"Oh,no!"said Grace.

“哦，天哪!”格蕾丝也叫到。

"Oh,yes!"I said.

“噢, 太好了!”我说。

"But now we need a bigger bowl!"

“但现在我们需要一个更大的碗!”
