此为黄嘌呤脱氢酶专栏之四：

今天给大家介绍两个词根：

rrhea/rrhag

他们的意思是：

a combining form with the meanings “rupture,” “profuse discharge,” “abnormal flow”

简单粗暴的理解为：

流出来

”

这个词根可以与很多词根相互搭配，与医学相关的词汇有如dia rrhea组成的diarrhea。其中dia有通过的意思，比如diameter就是通过圆心的那条线的长度，那么直接穿过身体就出来的东西，emmmmmm，就是有味道的diarrhea啦~

diarrhea确实是翻江倒海呢（躺枪的Tacro Bell）

而其他可以流出来的东西也可以搭配rrhea/rrhagic。比如说出血就是hemo rrhage，hemorrhage;如果前面加上不同的部位，则构成了不同部位的出血，比如gastrorrhagia，bronchorrhagia和pneumorrhagia

（注意这个不是running nose! If someone got a bad cold, running at the nose. Then he got a rhinorrhea!）

From the name“rhniocort”, we know the drug is for rhinorrhea, and it contains corticosteroid

而脸上出油太多，则可以称为seborrhea。其中seb=sebum，意为脂肪、皮脂。各位男孩子可能对这个词根不太熟悉，但是如果你潜心于美妆却依然不认识这个词，我建议你回去翻翻自己的护肤品……

讲道理sebum这玩意为洗发水上也很常见啊

而在座的小仙女（比如我）最烦心的还莫过于每个月一次menstruation ( struation意为饱和,其实也很形象)。如果大姨妈来势汹汹，就叫做menorrhagia。拥有一位有时间观念的亲戚简直可以说得上是祖坟上冒青烟了，因为很多人还被任性的dysmenorrhea（dys meno rrhea）困扰着。而且的时候还可能出现abnormal leucorrhea (leuco——白色，例如leucocyte，这个词可以讲是组的良心了)，想来下辈子还是做一个可爱的男孩子吧>.<

Rhinorrhea

a condition where the nasal cavity is filled with a significant amount of mucous fluid.

Menstruation

also known as a period or monthly, is the regular discharge of blood and mucosal tissue (known as menses) from the inner lining of the uterus through the vagina.

Menorrhagia

a menstrual period with excessively heavy flow and falls under the larger category of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB).

Leucorrhea

a thick, whitish or yellowish vaginal discharge.

Dysmenorrhea

also known as painful periods, or menstrual cramps, is pain during menstruation.
