一、结果状语从句的定义

在复合句中作结果状语的从句称为结果状语从句，通常置于句末。例如：

• He was so happy that he jumped with excitement.他如此高兴以至于兴奋得跳了起来。

能够引导结果状语从句的常用引导词主要有：so...that...（如此......以至于......）；such...that...（如此......以至于......）；so that（以至于）等。

1、so...that...的用法

（2）so many/ few 可数名词复数 that从句；例如：

（3）so much/little 不可数名词 that 从句；例如：

• There was so much noise that l had to shout to her.太吵了，我不得不冲她大声叫喊。

（4）so 形容词 a(n) 可数名词单数 that从句；例如：

• David is so honest a man that he never tells lies.戴维是个诚实的人，他从不说谎。
