树绕村庄，水满陂塘。

倚东风，豪兴徜徉。

小园几许，收尽春光。

有桃花红，李花白，菜花黄。

远远围墙，隐隐茅堂。

飏青旗，流水桥傍。

偶然乘兴，步过东冈。

正莺儿啼，燕儿舞，蝶儿忙。

秦观（1049—1100），字少游，一字太虚，号淮海居士，高邮军武宁乡（今江苏省高邮市三垛镇）人。北宋婉约派词人。著有《淮海集》《劝善录》等。

QIN Guan(1049-1100), styled Young Traveler or Heaven, Huaihai by literary name, a native of Wuning Town, Gaoyou Army (in present-day Sanduo Town, Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province). Qin was a lyricist of the Graceful and Restrained School in the Northern Song dynasty. His works includeA Collection of Huaihai andA Record of Encouraging to Be Good.(王佩译)

Trees around the vill,

Water does the pond fill.

With an east breeze,

I saunter there at ease.

The garden, although small,

Has the spring and has all.

Peach blossoms sway to blush,

Plum flowers white,

Rape flowers bright.

The fencing wall afar,

Thatched huts loom, there they are.

Wind to flags blows,

Bridge-by, water there flows.

Now in high spirits, high,

The east mound I walk by.

The orioles chirp, chirp,

The swallows dance high,

The butterflies fly.
