茶类型的英文表达（传统绿茶与红茶的基本英语表达）

备注：本文为总结我曾经用星座笔名拽写的关于绿茶与红茶的英语基本表达。

「绿茶Green tea」

Green tea originated in China, but it's production has spread to many other Asian countries.

绿茶源自中国，但其生产已遍布很多其它的亚洲国家。

originate : 起源于，来自。

originatd是过去式，表示绿茶在很久以前就被传播开来。与“in”联用表示起源于某个地方，也可以与“from”联用。例如：Tarot divination originated in/from Ancient Egypt. 塔罗占卜源自古埃及。

production :生产，在这里作名词。

需要注意，produce和product的区别。produce也是生产，但是是作为动词使用的。而product表示产品，是作为名词使用的。例如：We need a new product to sell. 我们需要出售一个新产品。

spread :传播

“spread to ”表示传播到…eg. The Chinese tea ceremony had spread to Japan in the Tang Dynasty.中国茶道在唐朝传入了日本。

备注：spread 的过去式、过去分词均为spread，而非spreaded。

The green tea is a non-fermented tea,it has the longest history and the greatestquantities.

绿茶是一种未发酵的茶，历史最悠久，产量最多。

quantities：数量，在这里表示产量

non-fermented：未发酵的(adj)，这里作形容词，定语修饰。

以此类推，我们还可以得到以下类似词汇：

semi-fermented 半发酵的；

partially fermented 轻微发酵的；

post-fermented 全发酵的。

have long histeroy；have large quantities 表示历史悠久/产量高

eg. Green tea has the longest history and the greatest quantities.绿茶历史最悠久，产量最高。

China is a country which has long histeroy. 中国是一个历史悠久的国家。

Green leaves and limpid water are two key characteristics of green tea.

绿茶有两个主要特征：叶绿、汤清。

leaves : leaf 的 复数形势，在这里表示茶叶。

limpid :清澈的，透明的。在这里作形容词 eg. limpid eyes 清澈的眼眸

water : 这里指茶汤/茶水。茶汤是茶学的专用术语表达。

key :关键的，在这里作形容词，可以与important互换。

「红茶Black tea」

Black tea is a complete fermented tea,which is birght red in color.

红茶是一种全发酵茶，色泽红亮。

这里的"a"表示“一个种类”，相当于"a kind of"，可以互换。

Black tea : 红茶

大家或许会有疑问，为什么红茶不叫red tea，而是black tea呢？

那是因为我国红茶主要以黑色的条索、黑色叶底为主要特征，贸易之时被译作black tea，以便于识别。

而当黑茶也充当茶叶贸易角色之一，为了便于区分译作dark tea。

故black tea 是红茶而非黑茶。

complete fermented：全发酵的(adj)，也可做post-fermented.

红茶源自中国，后来传入南亚。

the birth country(place) of：…的原产国（地）

比如：Sichuan is the birth palce of tea. 四川是茶叶的故乡（原产地）。

spread to：蔓延到…

Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than green tea,oolong tea,yellow tea and white tea.

红茶是一种比绿茶、乌龙茶、黄茶、白茶的氧化性更高的茶。

oxidized :氧化的，在这里作形容词。事实上，也是动词oxidize的过去式和过去分词，表示“使…氧化”“使…生锈”。eg. Aluminium is rapidly oxidized in air.铝在空气中会快速氧化。

China's Keemun Black Tea , India’s Darjeeling Tea , and Sri Lanka’s Uva Tea are believed to be the world’s three major high-flavor black tea.

中国的祁门红茶、印度大吉岭红茶、斯里兰卡乌伐红茶是世界三大高香红茶。

be believed to be：被认为（具有客观性）

eg.Sichuan is blieved to be the homeland of pandas.四川被公认为是大熊猫的故乡。

Keemun Black Tea：祁门红茶

Darjeeling (Black) Tea：大吉岭红茶

Uva (Black)Tea：乌伐红茶
