be born with生来带有的。故填with。
7.be shown 考查被动语态。
I don’t know about you,but I don’t spend much time worrying about how I appear to other people.I know I’m not perfect. But I figure that there is an upside (优势) to my own faults:for one thing, they seem to bring joy to others.
Maybe I underestimate (低估)the seriousness of my own shortcomings.I might be like the man who was driving a car with a sticker that reads,“Hang up and drive.” A police officer was pleased to see it,as she had witnessed too many accidents caused by motorists talking on cell phones.Wanting to signal her approval to the driver, she pulled up alongside the car.But when she glanced over, she was disappointed to see him looking into his rearview mirror and shaving. At least he wasn’t talking on his mobile phone.
Maybe it’s easier to see the flaws in others. It’s like the camel. An African proverb states,“The camel never sees its own hump (驼峰),but that of its brother is always before its eyes.” I probably don’t see my own humps very clearly.
An elderly couple, while on an automobile trip, stopped at a restaurant for lunch. The woman left her glasses on the table, but didn’t miss them until they were back on the highway. And it was difficult to turn around by then. Her husband complained all the way back to the restaurant. They finally arrived, and as the woman got out of the car to get her glasses, the old man said,“While you’re in it,you may as well get my hat, too.”
Psychologist Carl Jung explains this phenomenon of seeing others’ faults more clearly than our own.He thinks that everything that upsets us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.Or,put it another way,the humps we can’t help but see in others are a lot like the humps others see in us.Or,perhaps they are like the humps we see in ourselves.
So,what would happen if we’d look at other people’s faults and humps as a gift? After all, they’re teaching us about ourselves. And that’s what makes us different from camels.
1. The police officer felt disappointed mainly because the driver .
A.underestimated the seriousness of his shortcomings
B.didn’t warn other drivers of the danger of talking on cell phones
C.was doing something that was likely to cause traffic accidents
D.was talking on his mobile phone when driving
2. From Paragraph 4 we can learn that the old man .
A.reminded his wife to get her glasses
B.made the same mistake
C.didn’t love his wife at all
D.didn’t know he lost his hat
3. Psychologist Carl Jung thinks that we should .
A.learn about people’s character from their faults
B.make others know about their faults
C.try to find other people’s faults
D.see our faults from other people’s faults
4. What could be the best title for the text?( )
A.The humps we see in others
B.Attitude towards our own faults
C.Ways of avoiding faults
D.See others’ faults more clearly

I prefer my English classes to be taught in English only. What we all know,a good learning environment is of greatly importance if we want to study English well.Classes teaching in English provide students for a better environment. When English is an only language in class, students will have more opportunity to practise listening and speaking. However, there were problems with this method.Sometimes we may find difficult to follow the teacher and some slow learners may even give up learn English. In spite of these difficulties, but I believe practice makes perfect. With enough practice,we can overcome the difficulties and benefit from English classes in the long run.
第三句中:for→with provide sb.with sth./provide sth. for sb.
第四句中:an→the 此处language前有only修饰,指“唯一的语言”。

Good morning, everyone! It’s my honor to be here to talk to all of you.Well, congratulations! We all accomplished one of the major milestones of our lives:high school graduation.
It has been a long three years and a short three years.Long because of all the hard studying and some little failures that hit us in high school.Short because of the lifelong friendships and the truly interesting and amazing things we learned here.
In the near future, some of us will go to college. Some will join the army to help keep our country safe.Others may get right to work. The road that lies ahead won’t be easy.
But nothing worthwhile is easy.I believe everyone will keep working hard.I believe we will make the most of our futures and achieve our dreams.
Thank you!
