On July 24th, the Long March-5B Y3 carrying Wentian lab module blasted off, followed by the first orbital docking between two heaviest Chinese spacecraft, which was also the first time that such a docking had been carried out during the astronauts' in-orbit stay aboard the space station. Zhengzhou made great contributions towards this endeavor.

7月24日,长征五号B遥三运载火箭成功发射,中国空间站迎来了新的舱段——问天实验舱。这是我国目前最大吨位的两个航天器之间的交会对接,也是我国空间站第一次在有人状态下交会对接。而在其中,“问天”发射背后离不开实力强劲的“郑州力量”。

The lidar system developed by the 27thResearch Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation in Zhengzhou has been installed on five modules of China's space station. These lidar systems can form a variety of combinations on the space station, which will play an important role in subsequent operations. What's more exciting is that this is the 10th time that the lidar system developed by the institute has enabled the precise docking between the Shenzhou spacecraft and the station.

In addition, a space station equipment research group in the institute has made fresh progress in developing the key technology of long-life radiation-resistant optical fiber for use in aerospace, tackling the problems of airtightness in the space environment and large-scale radiation-hardened optical interconnection outside the module, and enabling the transmission and exchange of massive amounts of data among the three modules of the space station.

同样,第二十七所空间站某设备课题组成功突破了航天长寿命抗辐照光纤某关键技术,解决了空间环境下气密封及空间站舱外抗辐照大规模光互联难题,实现了空间环境下各舱间海量数据的传输,打通了天眼之间的神经脉络,成功履行了空间站三个实验舱某任务系统进行海量数据传输和交互的重任。

"The lidar system we developed can handle dynamic, high-precision, and multi-parameter measurement in real time. In the second step of the three-step strategic plan for the manned spaceflight project, it has participated in the orbital rendezvous and docking of manned spacecraft and cargo spacecraft many times, proving its sophistication and reliability," said the head of the institute proudly.

“我们研发的激光雷达系统解决了大动态、高精度、多参数实时测量的难题,在载人航天工程三步走战略的第二步中,已随着载人飞船和货运飞船多次成功完成在轨交会对接任务,验证了产品的先进性和可靠性,发挥了‘穿针引线’的重要作用。”该研究所负责人自豪地说。

The electrical connectors, cables, and other components installed all over the Wentian lab module can be seen as a highway to ensure the accurate transmission of data.

遍布问天实验舱周身的电连接器、电缆网等元器件产品,可以说是其体内信息传输的“高速公路”。

More than 10 series, nearly 2/3 of the electrical connectors for the Wentian lab module, were developed and produced by Zhengzhou Aerospace Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. In particular, the electrical connector outside the module holds the key to the successful docking between the Wentian lab module and the Tianhe core module.

此次发射任务中,郑州航天电子技术有限公司为问天实验舱研制生产了10多个系列、近2/3的配套电连接器产品,肩负着保障各类信号精准传输的重要使命。特别是舱外对接电连接器,是保障问天实验舱与天和核心舱成功“牵手”的关键元器件。

The connectors used for spacecraft must withstand electromagnetic interference, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, and charged particle radiation in the high-vacuum LEO space environment, so that they can be used for a long time by the space station.

航天器所用连接器要适应空间轨道高真空环境下的电磁干扰、热循环、热真空以及带电粒子辐射等一系列严峻考验,以达到空间站长寿命使用的要求。

Henan Aerospace Hydraulic and Pneumatic Technology Co., Ltd., also located in Zhengzhou, developed high-pressure self-locking valves and low-flow self-locking valves for the attitude control system of the Wentian lab module, which can be regarded as the switch to control the "motor nerve" of the launch vehicle.

此次发射任务中,同样位于郑州的河南航天液压气动技术有限公司,为问天实验舱配套姿控系统研制的高压自锁阀、小流量自锁阀等关键零部件,可看作是控制运载火箭“运动神经”的开关。

These components can be precisely controlled according to guidance commands to ensure the stability and operability of the entire system during the flight and the precise docking of lab modules. The air filters that the company developed for the Wentian lab module have been widely installed on the module's inner walls, which can effectively ensure the circulation and purification of the air inside the module, allowing the astronauts to carry out space research safely.

这些零部件能根据制导指令实现精准控制,主要保障整个系统在飞行过程中具有良好的稳定性和操作性,确保实验舱精准对接。为问天实验舱研制配套的多种空气过滤器,也广泛安装于舱室内壁面,能有效保证舱室内部空气的循环与净化,为航天员安全开展空间科研任务提供坚强保障。
