英语写作练习,如果找到了方法,绝对会有效提高。而这次我们的分享就是这个目的。哪怕每周只抽出半个小时,如果你能够和我们用下面的方法,坚持每隔一周看我们更新的资料,并坚持16周内做练习,你的写作能力应该会得到比较大的提升。

下面的练习示范,涵盖了初级水平和进阶水平两个版本。所以不管你是小学生,初中生,又或是有了一定英语基础想提升自己英语写作能力的朋友,往下仔细看。你都能找到合适自己的练习示范。

中国人爱说,“天下文章一大抄,看你会抄不会抄”。其实这个“抄”自然是有参照物的。

也就是说,首先要寻找丰富更多的输入(读英文的小故事,丰富词汇量等,这也是为什么Zoe一直在给大家坚持读英语小故事),然后要能用自己的语言把读到的内容进行诠释。

如果这种复述是用说的方法,那就锻炼了口语;如果是用书写的方式,并用自己的语言诠释,那无疑练习了写作。

看出来没有?有的时候相同的学习资源,可以服务于不同的目的,一箭双雕!

但是千里之行,始于足下。

我们今天就从“抄”这个概念出发,来找到帮助英语初学者理解和实战英文写作的经验。

我们就以Zoe以前读过的英文的故事 - 《勇敢的锡兵》为例子。以下是故事书里开头部分的内容。

“Happy birthday, Tom!” said Grandpa.

“Wow thanks! Just what I wanted,” Tom cried, “tin soldiers!”

“Oh, dear! This soldier only has one leg,” said the Grandpa.

“Attention!”

“Quick march!”

Tom didn’t mind. He spent all day playing.

At bed time, he packed the soldiers back in their box. But the one-leg soldier was missing.

“Where’s he gone?” wondered Tom.

“Don’t worry. You can look for him tomorrow.” said Grandpa.

Tom’s other toys waited until he was asleep.

“All clear!”

Now it was their turn to play.


练习的第一步是读一下上面的引用部分。然后尝试用自己的语言来写下文章的总结。

一开始如果自己写有一定的难度,建议你反复阅读上面的引用原文,并尝试反复记忆下面的文字再创作。在这个反复的过程中,你会慢慢体会到一种用别的话语重新诠释一段文字的方法。如果你跟着我们坚持练习,相信过了几周你就可以自己动手写一段文字来诠释他人的作品了。而这也是锻炼写作的有效开始。

On Tom's birthday, Tom’s Grandpa gave him a box of tin soldiers. Tom was very happy. He wanted these tin soldiers for a very long time. Among the soldiers, there was one with only one leg. But Tom did not mind. He played with the tin soldiers all day long.

Tom生日这天,爷爷送给了他一盒锡兵。Tom高兴坏了。很长一段时间以来,他一直希望能得到这份礼物。这盒锡兵里,有一个只有一条腿的锡兵。Tom毫不在意。他一整天在玩这盒新玩具。

When it was time to go to bed, Tom wanted to put all the tin soldiers back into the box. But he could not find the one-leg—tin-soldier. Tom was worried. He decided to find the missing tin soldier the very next day.

到了晚上该睡觉的时候,Tom把锡兵一个一个放回盒子里。这时候他发现,那只独腿锡兵不见了。Tom决定第二天一定要找到他。

After Tom went to bed, the toys got back to life and decided to play by themselves.

Tom上床后,他的玩具们苏醒了过来。他们开始了自己的玩耍。

Tom was extremely happy to receive a box of tin soldiers as birthday present from his grandpa. He had longed for those tin soldiers for quite some time. Now that he had them, he could not keep from playing with them all day long.

Tom在生日的时候收到了爷爷送的一整盒锡兵。他高兴坏了。很长一段时间以来,Tom都对这个礼物垂涎欲滴。现在好不容易拿到手里,Tom一整天都玩的欲罢不能。

Among the soldiers, there was this damaged piece, with one leg only. Tom looked at him for a little while. And then, he picked him up, saying “One leg or not, you are still a brave tin soldier! Solute!”

在这盒锡兵里,有一个次品。这是一个只有一条腿的锡兵。Tom端详了他一会而,然后他拿起一条腿的锡兵说:“不管你是不是只有一条腿,你都是一个勇敢的锡兵!敬礼!”

Tom gave this and that orders to the tin soldiers and put them in different marching patterns. Finally he could demand as a pride general, with his own troop.

Tom不停的向锡兵们发布这样那样的命令。他终于可以像一个骄傲的将军那样统领自己的部队了。

At bed time, Tom had to say goodbye to his new toy. Carefully, he put the soldiers, one by one, back to the box. Then, Tom realized that the one-leg-tin-soldier was missing.

到了晚上休息的时候,Tom仔细的把锡兵一个一个的收回到盒子里。这时候他发现,那只独腿锡兵不见了!

Tom was very much worried, but his grandpa tried to calm him down by saying that he would definitely find the one-leg-tin-soldier the very next day.

Tom非常担心。但是他的爷爷安慰他说,第二天他一定能把独腿锡兵找回来。

Tom went to bed,worried and sadly. And then something magical happened. All the toys came back to life and they decided to have their own party!

Tom忧心忡忡的上床休息了。突然,神奇的一幕发生了。Tom的玩具们都活了过来。它们决定要开始自己的聚会!


如果完成了初中级别的英语书面复述,这就到头了吗?远远没有!现在问你一个问题,你能不能从独腿锡兵的角度来重新描写这个场景?那如果你从爷爷的视角来描写整个事情的发展呢?

这种更换视角的描写,无疑将给文章增添极其不同的风格。·

所以说写作的练习,远没有止境。而方法也是多种多样的。

一开始的时候一定要切记,不要急躁。单词有问题,语法有问题,其实在这个阶段都不是问题。只要你在努力脱离原文风格的影响,用阅读得到的信息在总结阅读到的内容,并用自己的话语复述,就是走在了正确的道路上。剩下的就是坚持!

后面的每隔一周的八周时间里,我们将继续这个小故事剩下部分的复述。我们希望能逐步加大复述内容量。从而和大家一起,完成对整个故事笔头复述的练习。

下面是Zoe给大家读出上面两个版本对故事的复述。大家可以边看边练习听力,一举两得。

这周和下周的练习,请把下面一段文字用自己的语言复述出来。要求是笔头复述。就是非口语化的写作复述。如果想知道美国孩子会怎么复述,那我们过两周后会再次更新。


The soldiers tried to join in. But they were stuck in their box...except for the one legged soldier.

He had fallen behind a pile of toy building blocks. But he did not join in the games. He was gazing at the fairytale palace in the corner. It once belonged to Tom’s sister. A paper ballerina doll stood in the doorway. The pretty ballerina was dancing on one leg. “She’d be a perfect wife for me,” said the soldier.

Suddenly, the grumpy jack-in-the-box sprang out. “Keep your eyes to yourself!” The soldier ignored him. He smiled at the ballerina. She smiled back...

The jealous jack-in-the-box turned bright red. “Just wait!” he fumed.

The next morning, Tom found his missing soldier. He put him by the window. The cruel jack-in-the-box saw his chance. “Ha ha, so long soldier boy!” He took a deep breath, and blew as hard as he could. The tin soldier fell out of the window.
