一.大纲要求

交际用语是大学英语(B)统考试题中的第一部分,目的是考查考生在不同的情境中运用英语进行交际的能力。本部分共5道题,每题3分,共15分。

二.解题技巧

1.通读对话,弄清谈话的语境及内容。

在做题时,应快速把全篇对话通读一遍,了解对话的整体结构,把握对话的内容及语境。在做题时,应着重在理解全篇对话的基础上,准确地把握语境,并把自己“置身”于语境之中,理解双方谈话的意图。

2.前后照应,注意对话的“链条”。

应准确把握对话上下文的关系。做题时,可以根据上句的信息推断下句的意思,或通过下句的信息推断上句的意思。即要填前面的空行,看后句的意思;要填后面的空行,看前句的含义。这样前后对照,逐句推敲,抓住对话的脉络,就能使对话不“断链”。

3.注意对话要符合英语的交际和表达习惯。

不同的国家有不同的风俗习惯、生活习惯等,在语言交际中自然会出现各种差异。在交际中,由于受到各自文化背景的影响,表达的方式也就不同。因而,在补全对话过程中,所选的句子要符合英语交际和表达习惯。

4.要准确理解每个句子的确切含义,切不可望文生义。

在会话中,要根据所提供的情景和实际情况,准确理解句子的确切含义,应了解整个语境所表达的完整、确定的意义。在做题时,要根据文意理解句意,切忌望文生义。

5.重读对话,验证答案。

确定选项后,应将所选的选项填入对话的空格处,再凭语感和交际语言习惯进行验证。在做题时,考生应在通读全篇对话的基础上,把握各部分之间的逻辑关系,充分理解谈话内容及谈话人双方的意图,使对话意思通顺,前后连贯,且符合英美人的习惯,这样才能选出正确答案。

6.采取排除法答题。

考试中,经常采用的一种答题方式是“排除法”。即排除最不可能的选项,再将其他不可能的选项逐一排除。最后剩下的即为正确答案。
