求职简历应该准备好一份基本内容，定期更新。对于不同的公司、岗位可以考虑增减调整，有针对性地制作简历。用电子邮件发简历时，也可以附上求职信。

There is no regular style for a resume. It should roughly include various facts about a person’s career, his or her own evaluation in general about the entire career life and each part or period in it, and also detailed analysis on the facts in his or her career.

关于自己职业生涯的事实，都来自自己的生活工作经历。这些事实未必都是从有报酬的工作任务当中获得能力和知识的过程，也可能是自己参加的社会活动、专门培训、半专业性的爱好等等。

The facts about a person’s career come from his or her own experience in life and work. Not all of such facts are taken from the process of obtaining abilities and knowledge in a paid job. Some might come from social activities, special training sessions, and semi-professional hobbies that a person attends or has.

尤其是初次求职和转行，本专业的知识、能力只能作为基础条件，真正让人获得竞争力的，最可能是自己从社会活动、培训、爱好中获得和发展的独特知识和能力。比如，如果学翻译专业的人喜欢看国外的影视剧，可能找字幕翻译工作就很适合。

In particular, if a person looks for a job for the first time or tries to work in a different industry, the knowledge and skills in his original specialized field can only be taken as basic conditions. What truly gives him or her competitiveness is most likely to be the distinctive knowledge and skills obtained and developed in his or her own social activities, training and hobbies. For example, if a person who has studied translation loves watching foreign movies and television series, he or she might be a good candidate for translating captions.

构思简历结构的要点是展示和证明自己已经掌握了哪些知识，自己已经训练完成了哪些能力，自己拥有在职业生涯中获得和发展了哪些资源。有些时候，还可以提供一些证明人来证实自己简历中的事实。

The key point for conceiving the structure of a resume is to present and prove what knowledge a person has learned, what skills a person has been trained for, and what resources a person has obtained and developed in his career. Sometimes, information about references can be given to prove the facts in a resume.

写出简历之前，首先要分析自己。把自己拥有的社会资源、知识、能力一一列举出来，然后逐项分析。分析的目标是从宽泛的专业领域，细化到具体的职业岗位，最终找到自己最可能获得的岗位。

Before writing a resume, a person should analyze him- or herself first. He should enumerate the social resources, knowledge and abilities that he or she owns and then analyze item by item. The purpose of such analysis is to break down a broad specialized area in an industry into specific position types so that he or she can find the position most possible to be offered to him or her.

分析过程里，要尽量细致地列举。把自己生活、学习、工作中，认真参与的每一件事、读过的每一本书、接触过的每一个人都作为最重要的资源，找到其中对于实际工作的意义和用途。而且自己一定要相信，只要是认真做过的事情，经过仔细的分析都可以找到可以用于其他事情的细节。

In the analysis, items should be listed in detail as much as possible. Each event participated in, each book read, and each person contacted in a person’s education, life and work need to be taken as the most important resource. You should find out their meaning and purpose in an actual task. And he or she must believe that anything that he or she has done devotedly has details useful to other tasks that can be found out through careful analysis.

求职时，思路应该从大行业逐步细化到具体的岗位。中间可能有很多层次，涉及到不同的因素。比如，教育行业可以从外语培训，到具体的外语考试，再到某个外语考试中的一个测试模块，再到这个测试领域的不同授课方式，长期、短期、模拟测试等等。

When looking for a job, a person should narrow down his ideas from an industry in general to specific position. There can be many levels in the middle covering different factors. For example, education as industry can be narrowed down to foreign language training, to specific foreign language test, then to a module of the test in the foreign language test, and finally to different ways of teaching about the test module, such as classes over long and short periods or test simulation sessions.

高等教育的专业学习只有最宽泛的、综合性的知识和能力。在一个岗位上工作一段时间后，各种工作任务让一个人一段时期内只能发展出特别具体的知识和能力结构。这是工作岗位对个人发展的必然局限。所以，在充分了解某个期望的岗位之后，应该用一年到三个月的时间专门阅读相关资料或者训练某项任务，为转到新的行业或者岗位创造条件。就像某个教师想要开一门新课，或者某个乐队准备新节目，总是要花一段时间专门备课或者排练。

The study in a specialized area in higher education only gives a person the broadest and most comprehensive knowledge and ability. After working on a position, various work tasks allow a person to develop very specific knowledge and ability structure within a period of time. This is the inevitable limitation of a job to personal development. Therefore, a person should spend three months or a year to read related books or to train for some task after he or she fully know about a position he or she wishes to have. This could lay a good foundation for shifting to a different position or industry. It is just like when a teacher wants to give lectures on a new subject or a musical band prepares for new performance, either needs to spend some time in preparing the lessons or rehearsing.
