英语中形容词和名词的搭配（英语语法-英语形容词的用法）

今天来学习形容词用法。

先来了解一下什么是形容词。

形容词是一个描述词，它提供了有关于某些事情或某些人的更多的信息。形容词一般是用来修饰名词。如：

The green monster绿色的怪物

green是形容词，修饰后面的名词monster。

形容词可以描述7方面的内容：颜色、尺寸、形状、材质、味道、数量和声音。

颜色：red, yellow, blue, brown, orange

尺寸：little, big, tiny, huge, large, medium

形状：round, triangular, boxy, oval

材质：smooth, rough, soft, bumpy, prickly

味道：bitter, sour, tart, sweet

数量：few, many, a lot, fifty, several

声音：loud, quiet, soft, faint

相关的形容词还有如下这些：

状态（Conditions）:alive, dead, careful, brainy, damaged, cautious, broken, clever, busy, difficuly, crazy

形状（Shape）:broad, square, even, steep, crooked, flat, curved, hilly, deep, jagged, round, straight, shallow

尺寸（Size）:medium, large, skinny, miniature, small, narrow, tall, petite, huge, average, short, long, big

声音（Sound）:cooing, high-pitched, hissing, deafening, hushed, faint, husky, harsh, loud, mute, noisy, melodic

味道（Taste）:evolting, fresh, spicy, ripe, stale, rotten, bitter, salty, bland, sour, juicy, delicious

2.哪一个？如：

3.多少个？如：

long rope长绳子（long为形容词）

2.Which one?哪一个？

this town这个乡镇（this为形容词）

the second day第二天（second为形容词）

the other woman另一个女人（other为形容词）

3.How many?多少个？

one second一秒钟（one为形容词）

three boys三个男孩（three 为形容词）

few cars几辆车（few为形容词）

形容词的练习

1.第1个活动是将所给的形容词进行分类，看他们是属于描述事物的，描述感情的还是味道的。

如happy意思是“快乐”，它常用来描述人的感情，所以把它放在feelings一栏。

再如sweet意思是“甜的”，它常用来描述味道，所以把它放在taste一栏。

2.第2个活动是看图片，然后用形容词来描述该图片。

每个图片后面给出了5个问题，这5个问题可以帮助我们来思考从哪方面来描述图片。

这5个问题是：

How does I look?我看上去怎么样？

How does I smell?我闻上去怎么样？

How does I taste?我尝起来怎么样？

How does I feel?我摸上去怎么样？

How does I sound?我听起来怎么样？

每个图片后面都给出了一个样例，如第1个图片在How does I sound?一栏填的是quiet一词。

3.第3个活动是选择合适的形容词，将其填在句子中，使句子意思通顺。

4. 第4个活动是找出句中的形容词。

样例：There are five cars in the parking lot.

该句中five为形容词，修饰后面的名词cars，表示数量。
