春种一粒粟，秋收万颗子。
四海无闲田，农夫犹饿死。

锄禾日当午，汗滴禾下土。
谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。
李绅（772年－846年），字公垂。
祖籍亳州谯县（今安徽省亳州市谯城区古城镇人）。李绅六岁时丧父，三十五岁时中进士，补国子助教。历任中书侍郎、尚书右仆射、淮南节度使等职，会昌六年（
846年）在扬州逝世，年七十四。追赠太尉，谥号“文肃”。
Li Shen (772—846), Blessed by courtesy name, was born in Qiao County, Hao (Present-day Old Town, Qiao District, Haozhou Anhui Province). His father died when he was six years old.
Li Shen was a successful candidate in Grand Testt thirty-five years old and became an associate of the Imperial Academy. He served as Chancellor, Right-chancellor, Executive of South Huai and so on. He died at seventy-four years old in Yan
gzhou in 846, winning Letter Solemn, a posthumous title.
