美剧中的英语怎么记（加入美剧中的这些单词）

今天盘点的一些词语，可能表面上并没有太常见，没有真正能解释的意思。不过，在一些适当的语境下，放到句子里，会让你的英语十分有趣生动。

If someone blubbers, they cry noisily and in an unattractive way.

例句：

Stop blubbering like a two-year-old.

别哭得像个两岁小孩。

She started to blubber like a child.

她开始像个小孩似的放声大哭。

2. Doozy

极其地好/坏

例句：

你看到一个表演十分的令人尴尬，这时候就可以表达：

That show just was a doozy.

这场表演简直太糟糕啦。

Did you eat Chinese food at that restaurant? it’s a doozy!

你在那家餐馆吃过中国菜吗？真的太好吃啦！

3. Flabbergasted

十分的震惊

=extremely surprised

If you say that you are flabbergasted, you are emphasizing that you are extremely surprised.

例句：

Everybody was flabbergasted when I announced I was going to emigrate to Australia.

我宣布要移民去澳大利亚时，所有人都惊呆了。

4. Festooned

被装饰

=Decorated

If something is festooned with, for example, lights, balloons, or flowers, large numbers of these things are hung from it or wrapped around it, especially in order to decorate it.

例句：

I have festooned my Christmas tree this time.

这次我装饰了我的圣诞树。

The room was festooned with beautiful flowers.

那个房间以美丽的花朵结成的花彩装饰着。

5. Fuddy-duddy

形容有守旧派思想的人

If you describe someone as a fuddy-duddy, you are criticizing or making fun of them because they are old-fashioned in their appearance or attitudes.

例句：

My grandfather always asks us to keep our hands off the table while dining. He’s such a fuddy-duddy.

我爷爷总是叫我们吃饭的时候手不要放在桌子上，他真是太古板了。

He didn't want all those old fuddy-duddies around.

他不想身边有那么多老古董。

6. Gibberish

胡言乱语

If you describe some-one's words or ideas as gibberish, you mean that they do not make any sense.

当你朋友喝醉了酒，你就可以说：

You’re speaking gibberish.

你在胡言乱语。

例句：

When he was talking to a girl he could hardly speak, and when he did speak he talked gibberish.

他跟女孩儿讲话时几乎张不了口，即便张了口，说起话来也词不达意。

7. Squabble

争吵

When people squabble, they quarrel about something that is not really important.

例句：

Mother is devoted to Dad although they squabble all the time.

母亲很爱父亲，尽管他们总是为琐事拌嘴。

The children were squabbling over the remote-control gadget for the television...

孩子们正在为抢夺电视机的遥控器而争吵。

My parents have been squabbling since morning.

我父母从早上起就吵个不停。

8. Wishy-washy

优柔寡断

If you say that someone is wishy-washy, you are critical of them because their ideas are not firm or clear.

例句：

You’ve got to be stop being wishy-washy about your decisions.

你必须得停止对你的决定优柔寡断了！

If there's anything I can't stand it's an indecisive, wishy-washy customer.

如果说我有什么不能容忍的话，那就是犹犹豫豫、挑来挑去的客户。
