虫响何曾弱，枝头鸟不稀。
山寒生玉露，市闹助阴机。
道理非常理，知微实不微。
闲身早无身，故在岂能违。
石成林，曾用名石林、石正高。
长期在党政机关从事文字工作，先后担任过市委政研室、市委办公室、市委农村办主任，市人大副主任、市总工会主席。有诗集《故在诗草》。
SHI Chenglin, whose former names were SHI Lin and SHI Zhenggao. The poet has been long engaged in writing at offices of government and the CPC. He served as Director of Municipal Policy Research Office, of the Office of the Municipal CPC Committee, and of the Rural Office of the Municipal CPC Committee; Deputy Director of the Municipal People’s Congress, and President of Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. Shi authored A Poetry Anthology of I Think; Therefore, I Am.（彭雅卓译）
An Impromptu

Not so weak is the insects’ shrill;
A few birds weigh the branches down.
Dew falls as the mountains are chill;
Craft hides in the din of the town.
What is sense is not normal sense;
If one knows it’s wee, its not wee.
A free one becomes no one hence;
None can stop your thinking to be.

ZHAO Yanchun: Professor of English at Shanghai University, Director of Center for Translation of Chinese Culture, Editor of Translating China, President of International Sinology and Education Society, President of Chinese Culture Translation and International Promotion Committee, Executive President of Chinese Classics Bilinguals’ Association, Vice President of China Language Education Association, a proponent of the principle of translating poesie into poesie and classic into classic. His translations have been widely reported.
