Daddy, what is a museum? It's a place full of interesting things that are very old.

Narrator: Peppa and her family are going to the museum. 佩奇一家要去博物馆参观。

Peppa: Daddy, what is a museum? 爸爸，什么是博物馆？

Daddy Pig: It's a place full of interesting things that are very old. 博物馆是存放很多古老有趣东西的地方。

Peppa: Older than you? 比你还老吗？

Daddy Pig: Yes, even older than me. 是的，甚至比我还老呢。

Peppa: Ooooo! Really old. 真的很老哦。

Mummy Pig: There is one room full of things that belonged to kings and queens from long ago. 有间房间放满了很久以前属于皇帝和皇后的东西。

Peppa: I want to see the king and queen's room! 我想看皇帝和皇后的房间。

Daddy Pig: And there's another room with a real dinosaur. 还有间房间里面有只真恐龙。

George: Wow! 哇哦。

Dine-saw! Grrrrrrrrrr! 恐龙！啊！

Rabbit: Hello, Mummy Pig! 你好猪妈妈。

Mummy Pig: Hello, Ms. Rabbit！你好兔小姐。

Rabbit: How many tickets, please? 你需要多少张票？

Mummy Pig: Two adults and two children. 成人儿童各两张。

George: Dine-saw! 恐龙。

Rabbit: And a dinosaur! 还有一只恐龙票。

Narrator: Peppa wants to see the room full of things that belong to kings and queens from long ago. 佩奇想看那间放满了皇帝和皇后东西的房间。

Peppa: Wow! 哇哦。

George: Dine-saw? 恐龙？

Narrator: But George wants to see the real dinosaur. 但乔治想去看真的恐龙。

Mummy Pig: Don't worry, George. We will see the dinosaur next. 别担心，乔治。我们一会儿就去看恐龙。

This is the queen's special chair. It's called a throne. 这是皇后的特别椅子。这个叫做王座。

Mummy, where is the queen's television? 妈妈，皇后的电视放在哪里呀？

Mummy Pig: They didn't have television then. 他们那时候没有电视。

But they did have computers? 但是他们应该有电脑吧？

Mummy Pig: No, they didn't have computers, either. 没有,他们那时也没有电脑。

Peppa: What did they do all day? 那他们整天都干什么？

Mummy Pig: And it looks as if Daddy Pig is already in his favorite room. 看来爸爸已经去他自己最喜欢的房间了。

Peppa: Which room is that, Mummy? 那是什么房间妈妈？

Mummy Pig: The room with the cakes in. 有很多蛋糕的房间。

5.royal highness

佩奇假装自己是女王，于是猪爸爸说your royal highness. 殿下。

殿下、陛下等的说法在儿童文学读物中是大量出现的，因为童话里总是有很多的王子和公主。除了your royal highness殿下，类似的说法还有your majesty陛下，my lord大人、老爷。这里可以给孩子扩充一下知识，毕竟以后读儿童文学作品都是会高频遇见的。

6. What do you do?

佩奇学着王后的样子，闭着眼睛说And what do you do? 你是做什么的？

What do you do? 你是做什么工作的？

你是做什么工作的？关于这个问题，native speaker是不会问What's your job?的，而会用What do you do?或者What do you do for a living?之类的问题。

就着这个问题呢，可以顺便给孩子拓展职业方面的词汇。爸爸妈妈可以在电脑或者手机上保存一些穿着职业装，但是又有一点搞笑的人物图片来跟孩子玩职业猜谜游戏。孩子问What do you do? 爸妈根据图片来回答I’m a scientist. 或者I’m a dentist. 等等。等孩子熟悉了职业的单词之后，就反过来爸妈提问，孩子回答。

7.Favorite

猪妈妈说The dinosaur room is George’s favorite room. 恐龙房间是乔治最喜欢的房间。

Favorite最喜欢的，这个词我们曾经讲过，这个词音节比较多，不算简单，但是在动画片里面实在太高频了。第一季里就出现了14次，光在这一集里就高频出现了4次。

这个词要教孩子也很简单，比如孩子看完了这集动画片，你就问他Peppa’s favorite room is the king and queen’s room. George’s favorite room is the dinosaur room. What’s your favorite room?

今天跟孩子读了3本书，也可以问What’s your favorite book?

8.As if

猪妈妈说And it looks as if Daddy Pig is already in his favorite room. 看上去猪爸爸似乎已经到了他最喜欢的房间里去了。

As if好像、似乎。
