First, we use take offto describe removing clothing.

It’s really hot here, so I’m going to take offmy jumper.

You can also separate takeandoffand say "takemy jumperoff".

Second, we use take offto describe something becoming successful.

I’m going to be rich. My business has taken off.

Third, we use take offto describe not going to work.

I’m going to takea dayoffwork tomorrow.

So, we can say take offmy jumper, ortakemy juperoff, my businesshas taken off, and lastlytakea dayoff.
