挑灯自注枚生赋，讲席明朝又一场。

钱志熙（1960～），浙江温州人。现任北京大学中文系教授。著有《魏晋诗歌艺术原论》《活法为诗》等。

Notes on Early Autumn

—To the Tune of Partridges in the Sky

The poplar leaves flutter greenness in the air;

The autumn sun ripples the window fair.

The first cool is good enough for my sleep;

To rewrite the chapter my brush I sweep.

I change flowery words, I strip airs of woe;

Let the world comment on all, yes or no.

I annotate Mei’s prose, by the lamp lit;

Tomorrow morn I’ll give a talk on it.
