cost,spend,pay,take在含义上都可以有花费的意思，包括时间啊，金钱等，区别则在于用法不一样，有的主语只能是人，而有的必须是形式主语，重点是记住结构哦，下面就把我的干货分享给楼主吧！

1.cost

可以表示花费，也可以表示某物值多少钱或某物的价值，类似于worth这个词，而这个词的主语是物或者某种活动，不能是人哦。

a.sth. cost sb. 金钱数,例如：

This watch costs me 10,000 dollars.

这块手表花费了我10000美元。

b.(doing) sth. costs (sb.) ＋时间

Learning how to drive cost me a year.

学驾照花了我一年的时间。

2.spend

也同样可以表示花费时间啊，金钱之类的，还有度过的意思。

a.当表示“度过”的含义时：

How do you spend your holiday？

你是怎么度过假日的？

b.当spend表示花费时间，金钱时，其主语必须是人哦！

i) spend time /money on sth.

I spent 5 days on reading this book.

我花了五天时间来读这本书。

ii)spend time /money (in) doing sth.

She spent 2 hours in learning this song.

她花了2个小时来学习这首歌。

iii)spend money for sth.

His money was spent for books.

他的钱用来买书了。

3.pay

此处是支付，付钱的意思，其所引导的句子基本上主语也是人。

a.pay sb.

My boss pays me every two weeks.

我的老板每两个礼拜就给我发工资。

b.pay for sth.

I have to pay for these bills.

我必须要付清这些账单。

c.pay (sb.) money for sth.

I have to pay them 20 pounds for this room each month.

我每个月要付20英磅的房租。

d. pay for sb.

I have to pay for my husband's bills.

我必须要替我丈夫付账单。

另外再补充两个词组，比如pay money back是还钱的意思，pay off one‘s money有付清钱的意思哦！

4.take

这个词含义很多，当表示花费时，主语一般采用形式主语，即"it"，或者是“it”具体指的某件事情，而绝对不能是人哦！

a.It takes sb. ＋时间＋to do sth.

It took me three days to learn how to swim.

学游泳花了我3天时间。

b.doing sth. takes sb. ＋时间 （这个词组和cost的用法类似！！）

Learning how to swim took me three days.

学游泳花了我3天时间。
