【英英释义】

It's used to say that you think something or someone has improved.

这个表达是在什么语境下使用呢：

比如妈妈让你把积木垒成一个城堡，一开始你垒得乱七八糟，但尝试第二次、第三次后，有那么点样子了。你妈妈就可以说 that's more like （这还差不多，有那么点意思了）

【例】

• (Imagine you've alreday written and altered the project plan for 3 times, and this is the 4th time you are showing it to your boss. 你的项目计划已经反复修改了3次，这是你让领导看的第四版)

Boss: that's more like it. 嗯，这个还行（这个还差不多）

• Mom: What would you like to have for dinner? Noodles? 你晚饭想吃什么？面条吗？

you: No! 不要

Mom: rice with Gongbao chicken? 宫保鸡丁配米饭？

You: gongbao chicken is too oily. 宫保鸡丁太油。

Mom: How about just some salad?要不就弄点沙拉吧？

You: that's more like it. 这个还差不多。

• (Imagine you were learning to draw a frog. you tried and tried. finally you felt good about one frog you drew and you showed it to your dad假如你正在学画青蛙，终于你画了一只自己比较满意的 ，你拿给爸爸看)

Dad: that's more like it. 嗯，有进步啊，有那么点意思了。
