Dumbledor要把Harry Potter 送给德思礼，Hagrid和McGonagall会是怎样的反应？

Dumbledore took Harry in his arms and turned toward the Dursleys' house.

“Could I — could I say good-bye to him, sir?” asked Hagrid. He bent his great, shaggy head over Harry and gave him what must have been a very scratchy, whiskery kiss. Then, suddenly, Hagrid let out a howl like a wounded dog.

“Shhh!”hissed Professor McGonagall, “you’ll wake the Muggles!”

“S-s-sorry,” sobbed Hagrid, taking out a large, spotted handkerchief and burying his face in it. “But I c-c-can’t stand it — Lily an’ James dead — an’ poor little Harry off ter live with Muggles —”

“Yes, yes, it’s all very sad, but get a grip on yourself, Hagrid, or we’ll be found,” Professor McGonagall whispered, patting Hagrid gingerly on the arm as Dumbledore stepped over the low garden wall and walked to the front door.

He laid Harry gently on the doorstep, took a letter out of his cloak, tucked it inside Harry’s blankets, and then came back to the other two.

For a full minute the three of them stood and looked at the little bundle;Hagrid’s shoulders shook, Professor McGonagall blinked furiously, and the twinkling light that usually shone from Dumbledore’s eyes seemed to have gone out.

“Well,” said Dumbledore finally, “that’s that. We’ve no business staying here. We may as well go and join the celebrations.”

“Yeah,” said Hagrid in a very muffled voice, “I’d best get this bike away. G’night, Professor McGonagall — Professor Dumbledore, sir.”

Wiping his streaming eyes on his jacket sleeve, Hagrid swung himself onto the motorcycle and kicked the engine into life; with a roar it rose into the air and off into the night.

1、He bent his great, shaggy（头发(或皮毛)蓬乱的） head over Harry and gave him what must have been a very scratchy（扎人的）, whiskery（胡须多的） kiss.

• 头发乱蓬蓬的大脑袋伸到Harry （脸）上，【伸到】用的是bent，弯曲，【上】用的是over。
• gave him what must have been a very scratchy, whiskery kiss。肯定是给了Harry一个胡子扎人的吻。
• what must have been 插入语，表示猜测，作虚拟语气。
• a very scratchy（扎人的）, whiskery（胡须多的） kiss，very 加强语气，scratchy, whiskery kiss，不好翻译。胡子扎人的吻，中文的语序是 whiskery，scratchy kiss，原句直译是扎人的，胡子多的吻。

2、Then, suddenly, Hagrid let out a howl like a wounded dog.

• Hagrid像一条受伤的狗发出一声哼叫，howl（长嚎）别人直接翻译嚎叫，这是大声的叫，还是低沉地叫？Hagrid是巨人，声音纷纷大到吵醒人，加上是像个受伤的狗，发出的应是底沉压抑的声音。电影是让海格发出抽噎的哭声。

3、“Shhh!”，相当于“嘘！”， hissed v.发嘶嘶声; 发嘘声(表示不满，尤指对演员或演讲人); 带怒气地低声说出(某事)

4、“S-s-sorry,” sobbed Hagrid, taking out a large, spotted handkerchief

• sob，呜咽，
• spot n,斑点，污点，spotted，adj.有花点的; 有斑点的。
• 本句有翻译为拿出一条大的、脏兮兮的手帕，，海格是个粗糙的壮汉，符合人物形象，翻译为特大的斑点手帕，与壮汉形象就有了反差萌，用时下的话是【猛男粉】，更符合心理特点。

5、burying his face in it. 直译：把脸埋进去，也就是用手帕盖住了脸

6、an’ poor little Harry off ter live with Muggles

• Lily 和 James dead了，还有可怜的Harry要离开去跟麻瓜一起生活。ter，其实是to，海格是个粗心、文化水平并不高的人，罗琳故意用ter，来表现hagrid 说话发音会有错，或者是表达不严整。

7、it's all very sad, but get a grip on yourself。

• 这一切都特别可悲，但是你要控制好自己。貌似不用all也可以。

8、Professor McGonagall whispered, patting Hagrid gingerly on the arm as Dumbledore stepped over the low garden wall and walked to the front door.

• whisper，低语，whisper of the world,世界的呢喃
• McGonagall 低声说道，手轻轻拍了下Hagrid 的手臂，这时Dumbledore 已跨过花园的矮墙走到前门。stepped over，跨过，the low garden wall，低矮的花园墙（篱笆？），the front door，前门。

• took a letter out of his cloak，从斗篷里拿出一封信，took out a letter of his cloak，居然用of，好像from，或in，更好的说。此处存疑。
• tuck 把〔布或纸张的边缘〕塞进〔某处〕

10、For a full minute the three of them stood and looked at the little bundle

• the little bundle，看着包起来的小小的毯子，用的bundle，是捆、扎、包之意，感觉怪怪的。
• bundle n. 捆; (一)包; (一)扎; 一批(同类事物或出售的货品); 风趣的人; 笑料; 一大笔钱。

11、Hagrid's shoulders shook, Professor McGonagall blinked furiously, and the twinkling light that usually shone from Dumbledore's eyes seemed to have gone out.

• 三人的反应完全不一样，体现着他们的性格：
• Hagrid's：情绪反应直接体现在身体的动作上，肩膀抖动；
• McGonagall：克制，泪水已经快要流出，却通过用力地（furiously）眨眼（blinked）来强忍住；
• Dumbledore：内敛，身体没有什么反应，也没有眼酸欲泪，而是说他眼里一向闪烁的光芒消失了（go out），以黯淡的眼神来表现内心的哀伤。

12、"Well," said Dumbledore finally, "that's that. We've no business staying here。

• that's that.就那样吧。
• We've no business staying here。我们没必要再待在这了。have no business doing something ,干啥没意义了。

13、Wiping his streaming eyes on his jacket sleeve, Hagrid swung himself onto the motorcycle and kicked the engine into life; with a roar it rose into the air and off into the night.

• Wiping his streaming eyes on his jacket sleeve，用夹克的袖子抹眼泪。 streaming eyes直译流着的眼睛，流泪的眼睛，眼泪的话，为何不直接用tears，而是用streaming eyes？
• Hagrid swung himself onto the motorcycle，跨上摩托车，swing 摆动、转动，这词可以用来表示坐上摩托车。
• kicked the engine into life，发动引擎。
