I like playing chess (国际象棋), Chinese chess.

我喜欢下棋，下象棋。

When I was a little boy, there were some old men in my village. They often got together to play chess.

当我是个小男孩的时候，村里有几位老人，他们常聚在一起下棋。

Although (尽管) I was only eight,I liked watching them play chess.

虽然我年仅八岁，但我喜欢看他们下棋。

From then on, I became interested in it.

从那时起，我就对下棋感兴趣了。

As time goes on, I have become a chess fan.

光阴荏苒，我已经成为棋迷。

I often play chess with my classmates and neighbours for many hours on Sunday.

星期日，我常常连续几个小时与同学们、邻居们下棋。

When I win a game, I will jump with joy.

当我赢了时，我会高兴地跳起来。

Playing chess can make me clever (机灵的), brave (大胆的), and careful (谨慎的).

下棋使我机灵、大胆、谨慎。
