不要把 accept/ əkˈsept/和 except / [ɪkˈsept]/混淆。

1.accept 是动词。表示某人向自己提供某物，自己接受了。

• She never accepts presents from clients.她从来不接受客户的礼物。

2. except 是一个介词或连词。表示不包括某物或某人。

• All the boys except Patrick started to laugh.
• 除了帕特里克之外，其他男孩都笑了。

1.表示居住的场所，特别是度假或临时居住的地方。

• We booked our flights and accommodation three months before our holiday.
• 我们在假期开始三个月之前就预订了去度假的机票和旅馆。
• There is plenty of student accommodation in London.伦敦有许多学生公寓

2.在英式英语中，accommodation 是不可数名词；在美式英语中它通常是可数名词。

• The hotel provides cheap accommodations and good food.

1.用来报告他人所说的话。

• According to Eva, the train is always late.据伊娃说，火车总是晚点。

2.According to 也可以用来转述书、报纸或报告中的话。

• They drove away in a white van, according to a police report.

3.如果你想说你的意见是什么时，要说 In my opinion，不能说 according to me. according to 和 opinion 不能连用

• In my opinion, all children should learn to swim.
• 在我看来，所有的孩子都应该学习游泳。

1.表示强调某事是真实的，特别是出人意料时，用 actually.

• Some people think that Dave is bad-tempered, but he is actually very king。
• 有些人认为大卫的脾气不好，但实际上他非常善良。

actually 也可以用来纠正某人的说法。

• Lynne was a doctor for ten years.琳思当医生已经10年了。
• Eleven years, actually.实际上有 11 年了。

2.当表示和别人建议不同时，用 Actually, I’d rather 或者 Actually I’d prefer to…

• Shall we go to the cinema?“我们一起去电影院吧？”
• ー‘ Actually, ' d rather go shopping.实际上我更愿意去购物。”

3.当表示某事此时正在发生时，用 currently, at the moment 或者now，不用 actually。

• He’s in a meeting at the moment.他此时正在开会。
