英语阅读不是英译汉，是英译英，是“说”英语U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday

凡是用中文“读懂”的英语都不能称为“英语阅读”。

显然，“英语阅读”需要和训练的不是“会说”中文(意思)的能力，是训练出“会说”英语意思的能力。因此，学习英语难的不是说不出它的中文，难的是说不出它的英语，从而没有给自己“使用”英语的机会，而英语“学”了不能“用”，学英语就没有意义。

所以，“读”下面的英语不是给你英译汉的，是给你“英译英”的，给你“说”英语，“用”英语的机会和锻炼。这才是我们要“英语阅读”的根本原因。

一、你怎么“读”下面英语？

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday ordered the Chinese tech firm ByteDance to divest its interest in U.S. TikTok operations within 90 days, according to a statement released by the White House.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry earlier slammed the U.S. for blatant bullying in violation of market economy rules and the World Trade Organization's principles of openness, transparency and non-discrimination.

以上“英语阅读”中，“说不出”下面英语的英语，都是“无效”英语阅读：

1. ordered the Chinese tech firm ByteDance to divest its interest in U.S. TikTok operations

2.a statement released by the White House.

3. earlier slammed the U.S. for blatant bullying

4.in violation of market economy rules

5.principles of openness, transparency and non-discrimination.

当然，如果我们的“英语阅读”依然还停留在下面这样的“英译汉”式阅读，严格意义讲不是“英语阅读”，而是变相“中文阅读”，因为你的“英语阅读”是让你“满脑子都是中文”，而不是英语。

当然，一般人认为“能”这样“英语阅读”也十分重要，还有人把“英语阅读”当做“语音练习”，当做“记生词”练习，都可以理解，但是，我们不能把这样的“阅读”称为“英语阅读”了。

二、“说”和“用”英语的英语阅读

1. When we order someone to do something,we give an order to him to do it,we give a command or an instruction to do it,meaning You must do it as I ask you to do.

真正的“英语阅读”，不是能“说”一句中文“命令”就算事了的。

1.If we release a statement,we make it public so everyone knows it.

我们需要的是这个“说”英语的能力。

2.The White House is the US government,the US Administration,different from the Congress and the Court of Law.

只会“说”中文“白宫”是训练不到“用”英语能力的。

现在我们需要的是你见到英语to slam someone时，你“能说”什么英语，而不是考虑回答“中文什么意思？”，这才是我们之所以“英语阅读”的目的。只是我们所谓的“英语阅读”考虑和满足的仅仅是回答“中文是什么”问题。

查英英字典后，我们“会说”英语了：

能说并用这句英语“记住”英语slam不比“懂”其中文意思更有利我们的英语吗？

不知道这样“英语阅读”后，今后能不能“记住”并“说出”这些英语？

这句英语有点难，但是它不是我们因此可以“改说”中文“市场经济”的理由。
